@kathleenramm I mean you have a point. XD But at least I had fun.
Maybe I would if I even had novels. But I don’t. Art is my main thing right now. *shrug* Most of the writing I do nowadays is blogging, but I have done a little bit of fiction writing before and it is fun. It’s just not my go-to activity right now. 🙂

Oh no, I’ve always loved reading :)) Even before I could read, I would ask my parents to read to me and tell me stories all the time.

@devastate-lasting I haven’t really read or watched any manga or anime, at least not through a whole series. I mostly just like the art style; one of my friends taught it to me awhile back and I just kind of picked it up.
@michelle That’s awesome!
@leon-fleming Hey, I’m late too (o_0; )
Yeah, probably. I think they explained it on one of the SE…[Read more] -

@kathleenramm I remember quite vividly as a kid saying, “I don’t think I’d like to write stories. I think I’ll just read them.”
Welp, numerous years and ten manuscripts later, here I am.
I first started writing for school, I suppose. Around eight or nine I began creating a world in my head, and after I wrote that story for school, I was like,…[Read more]

@devastate-lasting Oh, cool! I’ve never read those particular retellings.
@kathleenramm I used to be obsessed with the animal kingdom (still kinda am) but unimpressed by the “shifter” races in fantasy. I figured shapeshifting shouldn’t be limited to just wolves and whatnot. So, you know, the idea of a human who could turn into a squirrel came…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Lol don’t worry about being late, I’m late to everything as well XD.
Heyyyyyy! You’re ahead of me on LoTR haha … I need to figure out where the other two books are heh.
I really like the worldbuilding in Inheritance, Paolini does a really good job of writing the rules of his world and how the different races interact with each…[Read more] -

@kathleenramm It was about an anthromporphic trio of friends, a skunk, a squirrel, and a monkey– inspired by my dad’s version of bedtime stories from even younger days and maybe a little bit of the Kung Fu Panda movies *convinces self there’s no shame in sharing this* I was nine years old and trying NaNoWriNo for the first time. There may have…[Read more]

@warrenluther04 Yep no I cannot for the life of me write technology. I love sci-fi though! And yeah, I’ve really been meaning to read everything I’ve missed out on… Eventually… Someone recommended Inheritance to me a long time ago which is why it’s at the veeeerrryyy bottom of my very extensive TBR.
Also that’s neat! I’m in awe of all you…[Read more]

@kathleenramm I have the first one in my house, but I haven’t touched it. It’s definitely on my to-read.
Let’s see…maybe ten to twelve? I started officially “writing” when I was twelve, I think.

Lin replied to the topic What was the premise of your first novel? in the forum Topic of the Week 6 years, 2 months ago
@kathleenramm As my first novel has sprung into a very large and interwoven project, I think I’ll recount the first short story that I wrote that launched me into writing.
It was a fairy-tale retelling, I think. I had different characters from different stories come together to…do something. I can’t quite remember what. But I do remember that…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Yeahhh that is also me. Which is why I mostly just play around without knowing what I’m doing these days, in hopes that someday I’ll be able to draw my characters exactly how I picture them.
English is really complicated, haha! That’s cool that you’re learning Korean too! I’ve never lived in Korea long-term but we visit every…[Read more]

@kathleenramm One on my to-watch list would be My Beautiful Bride…the movies I watched I’m not sure of the names because I watched them with Chinese subs haha
I really love Ateez! They have great music and they’re all really sweet guys! Highly recommend.
@merieshenanigans I listen to Ateez, Oneus, A.C.E, WayV, BTS, Noir, Stray Kids, and Monsta…[Read more]

@kathleenramm I’m glad to be here!
I like to draw characters, too, either from other fandoms or my own! Most of my decent pieces are sketches of everyday things and animals and stuff like that, though. Do you draw characters from your novels or just draw new characters?
Nameless WIPs are just… just sad.

Lin replied to the topic TOPIC OF THE WEEK – How do you think of story ideas? in the forum Start HERE 6 years, 2 months ago
@kathleenramm Ahaha I always wished that I could dream myself into another world (but my dreams aren’t usually vivid so-)
Not really anything in particular that I can remember. I essentially plagiarize everything.

Michelle Black replied to the topic TOPIC OF THE WEEK – How do you think of story ideas? in the forum Start HERE 6 years, 2 months ago
@kathleenramm *coughs* Oh man that is hard lol. The simple answer would be I don’t know where I get my ideas. I find inspiration everywhere even when I am in my backyard and look through the slats in the fence and see what the neighbors backyards look like, I imagine that the inside looks like a castle on the beach. Or I imagine a town, but…[Read more]
