Ellis would just think she’s being polite. In real life, it used to be normal to call someone you didn’t know well by their last name. If Rin’s culture is the same she might actually call him by his first name, thinking it’s his last name, which he might find weirder.

Ellis
“Imitated a bird,” Ellis repeated slowly.
Yeah, said Conviction. You know, completely normal things!
Ellis narrowed his eyes, wondering if she was making fun of him. She seemed serious.
“Thae Shi?” he asked. “Are you Sa Li?” Her hair was dark enough, but her skin seemed too light. But the Sa Li weren’t neces…[Read more]

Ellis studied her suspiciously for a moment, then sheathed Conviction.
“I would like to know the same thing,” he said, crossing his arms. “I’m Ellis Percaro.” He glanced up at the roof she had fallen from. “How did you get up there in the first place.”

I’m not a mystery expert, but I do enjoy them on the occasions I’ve read them. (Although that mainly includes Sherlock Holmes and a couple of Edgar Allen Poe stories.) I would be completely clueless creating a plot for one, so I can’t help much, but I think it’s a cool idea.

Ellis
Ellis raised his sword as someone on a nearby roof shouted something. It was a young woman with long dark hair. He was pretty sure she hadn’t been there before.
“Who are you?” he demanded.

“Then maybe you lack self-preservation instincts,” Ariac snapped manifesting another sword in his other hand. “My patience is running out. You better explain what you want with us, or. Get. Out. Now.”

Kate blinked. “Storm a… Oh. That.” She looked at the palace. “With just three of us?”

Kate
“No. I don’t,” said Kate flatly. She looked around warily, and then released the Compression. The energy dispersed, blowing her hair.
“Very well, Lord Nayhelm,” she said putting on an air of confidence. “I am Lady Katílía Atmor. It seems we’re all in this together.”
She turned to the other woman. “And you are?”

Kate
Kate’s spell fizzled and dissolved with no effect for the third time. Why wouldn’t it work? It was supposed to transport her back to where she had been. True, she wasn’t good with transportation spells, but it should work. How far away was she?
I don’t think that’s gonna work, said Bloodsong cheerfully.…[Read more]

Ooh, this is something I’ve been thinking about too.
The trick is that you have to balance between being clear when God acts, but not heavy handed.
You could try something like this:
God intervenes at the character’s darkest hour in their internal conflict. Set things up so that as the character is wrestling with themselves it…[Read more]

COOL!! there’s already a ton of “adventure” RPs kinda
Yeah, I know. I’m in most of them, lol. This one was a bit different, because we actually had a sort of storyline instead of just letting the characters do whatever. I think that ended up being the death of it though. We restarted it over in Character Adventure, where we’re t…[Read more]

So, this RP has a weird history. It started out pretty normal. The characters were trapped in a magic house and forced to have a party. Then it was decided to completely change it into an adventure RP. They had a lot of cool adventures, but eventually the RP started to die out. We decided to restart the adventure as a separate RP,…[Read more]

I’m not going to throw her in quite yet, but I figure I’ll introduce her (for anyone unfamiliar) now.
Katílía Atmor
Katílía (kat-ee-lee-a) or Kate for short is an Eìvír as well. Her sword is called Bloodsong. She is not very trained with a sword or in any other style of combat, nor is does she have enough self-mastery to easily su…[Read more] -

Ariac
Ariac levelled his sword threateningly at the stranger.
“I’m going to make this very simple for you,” he said. “You will promise not to hurt any of us here. …Or I can kill you right now.”

Ariac is bluffing of course, since he can’t deliberately kill.
