YOU’VE READ THE WINGFEATHER SAGA TOO?!😁😁😁
*ahem.*
I love your drawing though, it’s gorgeous! There’s no shame in tracing things, my sister does it all the time and her drawing are lovely too! And I like how you made him a dragon-human-clone. A Dhrone?
And I got so attached to the clone troopers too!🥲😊 That scene in the season final…[Read more]

Hi @issawriter7 😁
Hi, Issabelle!
I’ve also read the False Prince! (Though I haven’t got round to rest of the series yet) It gave me some ideas for my novel!😊 There’s a huge question in my WIP about who’s the ‘True Prince’ and who’s the ‘False Prince,’ both sides believing opposite things, obviously. Thanks for compliments about the art and piano…[Read more]

Oooooo what a fun idea!!!!!!! (Also, I just LOVE LOVE LOVE your quotes!!!!!!!!)
Alrighty, here’s mine. It’s for my character Keenum in my YA fantasy novel, Heir to His Crown.
If you’re waiting for my blessing, then all I have to say is pray your death comes soon. Then the world would be very blessed indeed.
I’d never ask for mercy fro…

Oooooo, I’m glad you asked!!! Honestly, the first thing I would do is give the character internal questions. Like, if the character is worried about something, show the reader he/she asking the question to him/herself. Like how @scoutfinch180 did in the first two examples Scoutillus gave. Inner monologue can really go a long…[Read more]

WELCOME TO THE KINGDOM!!!!!!!!!! *waves excitedly and gives you welcome chocolate* We’re SO excited to have you here!! I’m Issabelle Perry, the quirky teen author who overuses exclamation marks, obsessives over Lord of the Rings and The False Prince by Jennifer Nielsen, and is an unashamed Skillet fan. Hahaha, that’s funny you should mention that about the antagonist thing cuz my sister and I were just talking recently about how villains are actually not something you have to put in your writing and how even things like nature can be an “antagonist” in stories, like survival fiction!
Anyway, for me, it was long, thorough…[Read more]

Adverbs. Like happily, cheerfully, sarcastically — especially on dialogue tags. I thought this made my writing more beautiful and descriptive, but then I learnt that you should use string verbs and nouns instead of adverb and adjectives, where you can.
Like, for example: “I can’t believe you betrayed me!” Tom said
angrily.If he’s saying tho…[Read more] -

Hi @jodi-maile 😁! It’s great to meet you!
My ocarina is also a Zelda-themed Ocarina of Time. It’s dark blue with the Triforce emblem on the mouthpiece guard. I think it’s epic you have a whole collection of them! Don’t you just love all the ocarina tunes from Ocarina of Time? My favourite tune to play is Song of Time, and my favourite tune to…[Read more]

Thanks, @kathleenramm 😊
I taught myself to draw when I was little, it was my greatest passion before I got into writing. I watched a lot of YouTube tutorials by a guy called Mark Crilley to get me started, and then gradually practiced more and more, using how to draw books and stuff. I used reference pictures to create the Arslan image, obviously…[Read more]

Hi, @sarah-anson
I love your idea of making clean manga! I would also love to do this with my WIP novel series too!
And your drawings are soooo good! I love the mask on the first guy (or is it a tattoo?) And the pose of the third one with the girl makes me feel so wistful and mysterious! And the coloured one is just downright gorgeous! Love how…[Read more]

And second:
This is a design for one of my characters that I’m working on. He’s nowhere near finished, though😅. I’m hoping to have a whole section on my website (when I manage to finally crack down and get it web worthy to put up) devoted to art of my characters. I think that’d be fun! Have you guys ever done stuff like that on your websites? -

Hi there everyone! I’m a new manga/anime artist on the forum, and I thought I’d share a couple of my pieces.😊 I have a lot of trouble staying on track as an artist, because I’m always writing instead, but these are a couple of my works:
First:
This is fanart from the Heroic Legend of Arslan.

I know right? It’s nice to meet you too! @elishavet-pidyon, I think I pronounce Iertan like this: (Ier [like in ier in heir] tin.) Though sometimes I do slip and say it like (Yier-tin)
My tale is about this —
A Usurper’s Heir. A True Prince. Two Families, One Kingdom …
… But What If Each So-Called Prince Were the Hero?
What If Neither We…[Read more]

*Ahem*
In answer to your questions😁:
1. I wrote things when I was little, but I’d only get a few pages in, if that. I really hated long-term writing until I was about 11, when I became obsessed with the storyline of Super Paper Mario and wrote a whole fan fic series about i…[Read more]
