Hey everyone! I’m a little stuck on names for my characters. Every one of my stories has at least one character with a unique name–even my many fanfictions have tons of OCs (original characters) alongside those belonging to the original story. I want to know how you choose your characters’ names. Here’s how I do it:

@kathleenramm I basically procrastinate it a lot and work on something else until the impending deadline forces me to write. It’s a recurring cycle. It’s very painful.

@faith-q I get ideas from dreams sometimes. Once when I was three or so, I had a dream that a dolphin, an orca, a shark and a turtle were caught in a net suspended over a waterfall, and a whale saved them. The next day I drew a zillion pictures telling that story (I didn’t know how to write back then).

Are you kidding? Grace Johnson for an author’s name is amazing! Like I reference it to people and your site and it always sounds perfect. It reminds me a lot of Jane Austen or a Bronte 🙂
