@kathleenramm Probably someone said that the ending to one of my novellas was contrived. Lol. Maybe it was, since I was making it up as I went along. The person had reviewed one of my short stories favorablely, though, so probably I just need to work more on editing.

@nanisnook Of course! And it’ll also save you more work – if you go in and write the ideas now, then you can write fluidly about those same ideas as the story goes on. 🙂

@kathleenramm I know I’m late to this topic, but it seems really funny, so I’ll join in XD
So. Three characters from my series!
1. Tàe – a fiercely introverted, very shy elf. He’s very sentimental and loving, though. Strangely, he has no mana (mana is power granted to the faerie races by God for defense and healing). He’d probably be, in…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Hmm… I haven’t really gotten a lot of critiques on my writing. But sometimes people tell me that my themes are heavy, and I’m like “wait, really?” I mean, my series has a rather lighthearted tone to it, in my opinion (lots of funny things sprinkled in and lots of action) but is it really that heavy? So I guess I’m just working with…[Read more]

@maryg3 Hey, awesome! I’d love to read it, but unfortunately I don’t like putting my email out in public places. Could you perhaps make a Google form or something for us to input our emails into? That’s what I would do, anyways.

1. To be honest whenever I come up with new ideas I just add them halfway through and then later go back and add them in the beginning. Saves a bit of time.
2. Totally! Usually my chapters are 6 and a half pages, sometimes they’re 13.

Welcome back! So good to see you again! 😀 <333
I think it’d prob be easiest to go back to the beginning and add them in from there. 🙂
Yes, that’s totally okay! I know mine average from (…lemme go check…) anywhere from eight to 1/4 a page, depending on the book. (I think some of it also depends on the POV, whether it’s…[Read more]

Well, she’s an interesting character… She’s actually a villain. 😁 A traitor, to be specific. She’s sweet, caring, and a lot of fun, but she’s got a stubborn, rebellious streak, unfortunately. She ends up valuing her “freedom” above everything else, breaking someone’s heart and ripping up several deep friendships in the…[Read more]
