Lucille
Lucy thought for a moment. She jumped down from the crow’s back.
Runt’s nest was literally poorer than the other nest from before; there weren’t any jewelry or household items lodged in the branches. But there were some pieces of ribbon, twine, and something that looked suspiciously like long strands of hair.…[Read more]

Mel
Mel climbed up without asking Runt’s permission. She found a spot next to his shoulder and held gently onto his feathers. At first the crow was confused, and stumbled around in a circle, trying to spot the little girl. She leaned her head out into his field of vision and he made a playfully surprised squawk.
Lucy climbed up w…[Read more]

I’m posting here to knock this back up to the top of the forum. It’s been little while, but I think we have a good setup if anyone feels like continuing the story. 🙃
Sorry to leave Wilhelm hanging! This must be remedied

I get that. I’ve actually joined Young Writers Workshop this ye…[Read more]

1) I think this is from the Bible? I’m guessing the book of Ezekiel. It sounds Minor Prophety.
2) I have no idea.
3) This could be several people. Augh. I know the Captain from Tin-Tin says it, but as for anything more specific, I’m at a loss. It could also be Padra from the Mistmantle Chronicles.
4) Les Miserables?
5) It’s from Henry…[Read more]

1) “in the midst of the stones of fire you walked.”
2) “It will be rather a bore, I expect. Love and marriage, and all that sort of thing, is rather a necessary nuisance in its way.”
3) “Blistering barnacles!”
4) “Be off with you, or I’ll blow up the barricade!”
5) “Soldier, why wear’st thou that glove in thy cap?”
6) If you tell stories, you…[Read more]

Oh yes, Portals! I should read more of it. The bit I read was delightful.

I probably should not be as comforted by that as I am.
Published authors have probably felt the same about their stuff. If that’s not comforting, I don’t know what is. 😛
And I spelled it differently, so there. XD
Problem solved

Portals: When My Story Ate Me. The serial story I’ve semi-periodically shared on here. I should work on HoA(Viktor’s story), but I have zero motivation for that one. They’re just sitting in a friend’s shop at the moment waiting for their parents to find them. Portals is a more manageable size, so little bites first.

I love collecting ideas from novels published between from the 1910s-50s. Mostly 40s and 50s. I keep notes from them in a notebook and I’ve done this for months; it’s a lot of fun. I often collect dialogue because there’s something very identifiable about fictional dialogue from that time.
Oh, I like this idea. That is epic. I’ve n…[Read more]
