Welp ummm….Hi? Lol! Feels like forever heh…how has everyone been? I’ve been good. Busy, but good. I’m getting on here because…well…I finished the draft of my first book (woohoo!) of my series I’ve been working on. I’m trying to work on draft 2…but it’s…a lot.
And I’m getting a bit (ok a lot) overwhelmed by everything…Mostly, I feel sometimes like this is so big…like the idea is bigger than me and I just wanna do it justice? Idk…but yea! So celebration for finishing the first draft…but AGGHHHH for everything else lol!

Some questions… Is it the Destina project or a different one? I don’t want to asume lol. Also, second draft, is it an edited version or a second book? Just wondering if there would be ways to make the process less gargantuan.
(Just realized. If you’re in the area Friday, we might see each other, although I have a feeling we’re in very different sections… Still, if you’re attending a |-|yph3n meeting this week we should try to coordinate something. Wear a particular color or something. And it’s certainly ok if you’re not. It’s just ridiculously ironic to attend the same conferences without meeting )

Congrats on hunkering down and finishing the draft!! That’s crazy… I can’t believe there’s a full version of your first book out there. You have to get on here when it’s done so I can read it.

I’m doing good! Sunny weather has finally returned where I’m at, which I’m excited for. Project Radio is shaping up to be longer than expected. (Will it be a series? Who knows.) I have another, newer story that is coming along nicely.
Mostly, I feel sometimes like this is so big…like the idea is bigger than me and I just wanna do it justice?
If you ever want people to help brainstorm with you, sign me up. I can’t resist when someone has a brainstorming question. It’s fun to come up with ideas based on the information you have, and maybe come up with something the other person wouldn’t have imagined.
Being overwhelmed with your first draft seems to be normal. When I ask people how they feel after finishing one, they always say they’re overwhelmed.

Elishavet- yup! It’s the first destined book! And it’s just like the first draft I’ve ever truly “finished” like there are still scenes needing to be added and stuff, but it’s mostly cohesive.

I get that. I’ve actually joined Young Writers Workshop this year, as I felt I needed to take some serious steps to better my writing, but KP is definitely still my writing community. There’s just so many PeOpLe out there…*introvert dies*
I’ve actually started work on a new novel (old German and Slavic flavored MG fantasy world with ancient libraries, invisible faeries, evil woods, and curious little boys) that will hopefully some day be my debut into publishing. My wolf twins are still a WIP, but they’re currently taking a nap.

So, it currently doesn’t have a title, so it’s just Project Tap Faerie right now. But there’s the blurb.

Liam was just like every other boy in Klomseft—that is, until he started accidentally fulfilling an age-old cradle tale. Is there some truth to the rhyme? And –more importantly—will anyone survive to find out? Together with the help of the local librarian, his older brother, and a shady ally, Liam might have a chance to rewrite the end before the last bell chimes.
Anyway……XD I love dramatic blurbs. It’s upper middle-grade and I love it so much.

I’m a bit scared ngl… LOL! I have my outline! I’m gonna go in and do like…a scene dump before each scene to get my brain flowing and know what I wanna write/need to work on and write. But….oof I’m nervous lol.,
I’ve been wanting to work on my book 2 outline but every time I sit down to do it I’m like “ehhhh…” LOL
