*Freezes and starts counting on fingers*
Uh, about two years? I think I started seriously writing sometime in 2019. (Or was that early 2020?) So, yeah, not long.

Not my first to start, but yes. Other than the three other WIPs and a smattering of short stories, it’s my current work.
How about you? Have you finished anything?

The movie they were gathering funds for and had a fantastic add for? I don’t know: I haven’t heard anything positive or negative.

IÂ think those are the themes, but then again, I’m still in the first chapter.
*Sighs heavily*
It’s so annoying, I have an idea about where the story will go, but I have difficulty getting it out/started. It doesn’t help that my characters aren’t, well, verbal yet.
Enough of my grumblings, this will be entertaining to watch play out.

I think themes for Eirtan are Selfless Servanthood, The Power Of Truth, God’s Strength in Our Weakness, Identity, and Mantles/Passing of Burdens.
Yeah, it’s still in the building stage.

XD I know, right? Why do we have to do school anyway? XD
So, here’s the biggest reason I’m confused over my character’s and their roles (in Eirtan, at least) Victor wasn’t originally the eldest sibling, nor the was he the MC; Alyona was. After a few day’s thought on the subject, though, I realized Victor needed to be the main character…and he…[Read more]

I’m trying to solidify my main characters.
Victor/Amichai: needs a better character arc, lie, and, well, I’m still not sure if he’s my MC.
Alyona: needs a purpose. WHO IS SHE SUPPOSED TO BE?
Reuben: does he die or not? Why does he die if he does?
Aethelthryth: needs a struggle, purpose, a calling. I’m still trying to work…[Read more]

Hmm, It sounds good. Personally, sacrifice is one of my favorite themes, along with strength in weakness, redemption, and loyalty. Cats are hilariously wonderful, and have fun with the name!
Welcome, anytime. 😉

*Creeps in, face hidden in the depths of my cowl. Waves a greeting to Kitty.*
Good day, I have entered here to expound unto you my delight in your books and presence.
*After my fervent salutation, I slip off into the snow, the snow swept clean by the hem of my kirtle.*
Пока!

Um… Who’s your main character(s), what’s their struggle, how do you think they will grow, and how do you plan to make your WIP wholesome/lasting.
Ok, a few random questions…
Do you have important/new animals in any WIP?

I dreamed of a song-I heard it sung;
In the ear of my soul its strange notes rung.
What were its words I could not tell,
Only the voice I heard right well,
A voice with a wild melodious cry Reaching and longing afar and high. Sorrowful triumph, and hopeful strife, Gainful death, and new-born life…

George MacDonald was a Scottish author in the mid-late 1800s. He wrote some fantasy (The Light Princess for example). His fantasy is unique in its beautiful reflection of Christian morals/themes (it’s in there deep), and he was a major influencer in C. S. Lewis’ work. He also wrote some, what do you call it, in-our-world-fiction (Sir…[Read more]

The question is, if I tag someone am I apparently forcing a response? (Ok, I get timid at times.)

Sorry. By the way, if I ever forget to tag someone, don’t hesitate to pop on anyway. I’m still getting used to using the forum.

Wasn’t it? And it’s good to end a series before it gets fizled out. He ends it with “Hey, there’s more coming, it’ll be better than what’s here, but that’s a new epoch. Let’s go and have our own adventures.”
And I love the George MacDonald quote as the epigraph. It’s so perfect.
Plus,(sorry this has been a bit of a ramble) if…[Read more]
