Ok. I sympathize.
I do not have a stutter, but I get seriously caught on words and/or forget the word I was about to say right as it’s ready to leave my mouth. Then I’m awkwardly staring at the person I was talking to while doing mental gymnastics. Or I just repeat scrambled phrases until the right one comes out. It’s gotten worse the…[Read more]

Awesome sauce. Please do tell me how it works for you. I’ll take any info about these questions at this point. 🙂
(Completely understand. I’m ok with tech, but one moment of brilliant logic will be balanced with blankly staring at the screen wondering how a string of 1’s and 0’s could make something so confusing.)

In the sudden urge to share a meme or two, I checked my stash. Turns out much st of my memes are book references I saved from random sites.

Yes. Absolutely. I am having so much fun being the author of an author who is not an author anymore and thus has no veto or reliable foretelling powers. XD It’s splendid.
Also insanely relatable.

Kyler’s board is lovely, in a rough around the edges – this character is probably dangerous way. He looks like a sympathetic character. I wonder who the girl is… 😢
I also totally get how hard it is to capture all the facets of a personality and story into one aesthetic. I have yet to achieve it. XD
Ooooooo….…[Read more]

First off, I’d love to hear about the retelling!
Secondly, I love this story idea you’re working on. It sounds like a fabulous mix of new plot ideas and classic tropes.
Thirdly, my tags haven’t been working for a few months, so I’m sorry if I don’t respond to something…
Though, I was so happy to open this thread just now and see all…[Read more]

Hey fellow KeePers!
I’ve been thinking about getting Scrivener software to work with. I’ve been working with Google docs, but for a variety of reasons, (including filling on One Drive with random world building notes and WIPs) I am looking for something else. I’ve heard great things about Scrivener, including its user friendly approach, small…[Read more]

Viktor
“Are you ok?” Viktor gave a nervous glance back toward the group they had passed. If he hadn’t been so distracted by the posters on the bulletin board, he might have realized Hugo had been detained.
But Hugo just nodded and said something about unnatural impulses. They were entering another crowd of students…[Read more]

As some of you might have noticed, this is the computer that doesn’t add accent marks. XD
Nadian
It was pretty outside. Nadian pressed her nose against the window pane. For a moment, the black irises in the bed below the window were crystal clear. Then she exhaled, and the glass fogged up. It was funny. She…[Read more]

NO ACTUAL KILLING.
I wonder what………. if…….. I brought in another refugee……………

Eh. I don’t know how I’d make that fit my AU in this RP. He’s probably a hostage terrorism survivor, and that’s too relevant to current politics. XD
I think I’m going to randomly RP for…[Read more]

I would say keep any gender issues out of MG. I was reading MG at 7ish, and my parents never told me about any of that stuff until I was a teen. Finding out about it, even from a Biblical perspective, would have traumatized tiny me.
That’s a valid point! What I meant is illustrated anyway in a decent book. Have your characters behave…[Read more]

Also, there’s a difference between the Chosen One trope and a For Such a Time mentality. I would love to see the true value of humanity, of the reader, addressed. That we are made with purpose and by intention. There is hope. God doesn’t waste His time making and loving children just to destroy them in Hell. This is why we cannot decide to be a…[Read more]

-What did/do you enjoy about your favorite MG novels?
Humor. Slapstick sparingly and good wit whenever it’s needed.
I liked characters I could connect to (although considering my personality, I could empathize easily) I liked it when the suffering was real. Kids can be done of the most melodramatic people on the planet, but like Koshka said,…[Read more]
