Oh, it sounds fascinating so far! I like your characters and the world is intriguing. I’ll wait to add critiques untill I understand you story more. 🙂
(By the by, I only have 16 pages for my “main” WIP, and all but four is just me getting distracted by the various backstories. But let’s not despise the day of small things. [Zec 4:10])

It’s the little Natan boy! Awwwww.
Another great example on how to make a character sympathetic, despite being “cold as the alps.” XD
Also one of the worst heartbreaks I’ve had over a character. Thank you for reminding me.

Greetings and welcome to the Kingdom of Pen!
I’m called Elishavet around here, and I write rustic noblebright fantasy, although I have been known to experiment in sci-fi and nonfiction.
You read The Adventures of Tintin? My brother got me into those a while back, but we don’t often meet people who know them. Also, Wingfeather…[Read more]

To my knowledge, I’m just as free next week as this one. I can always log onto my phone etc, while working on something else. (I’ve got mostly online classes.)

Those are hilarious. XD Thank you for bringing laughter to my morning.
I wonder why we keep having fights. If it was run like a normal school, almost every student would be suspended indefinitely and maybe end up with a record. XD
Except my kiddos. The only time they fought was in Character Castle, but that’s because…[Read more]

Mostly college assignments, but also rustic, noblebright fantasy ranging from vaguely allegorical tales about questing squirrels to three kids finding their place in a mad world. I like hot tea, cats, and cultural/fun history.

In Which Books Lie, and the Sun Sets
Chapter 3
My legs were killing me. We had been walking for hours with hardly any real breaks, and I’d quickly discovered that even dwarves move at an incredible pace. The books lied. Muscles don’t miraculously strengthen when you get c…[Read more]

Ah, tragic! *sniff* Otterpops were a precious part of my childhood.
Further, I thought “Alexander the Grape” the height of wit when I was little. Your sister may have been onto something.
They’re delicious on a hot day! 🙂

Cold toes are a problem. -_-
However, to quote a friend, “My feet must breathe or else… they suffocate!”
I just looked Littlest of Cells and it looks so cute and well done! I might come asking you more questions about it in a bit. 🙂

I think I liked Poncho Punch best, but it’s been a while. They don’t sell them where we live.
(Really hopes I caught that reference right. XD)

Aw, it’s beautiful! You definitely break these two before building them up, but I’m so excited for it!
I love the symbolic impact the violin has for Riker. And I love that last sentence in Leon’s story.

Ok, Y’all. This topic has gone deep. XD Wow. That’s good though. We should really pull apart why we are writing what we are writing. I’m getting a fresh look at my own characters too.
There are many facets to what y’all are saying. I will say first off, that the reversal of the “da…[Read more]
