@sparrowhawke Oh, if you’re 18, I’m sure it’ll be fine. I read Monster when I was fifteen. It’s not too gory, and the most sexual stuff is all implied, nothing really explicit on screen. There’s a lot of murder (crime genre for a lot of it) and a lot of very heavy themes, but it’s all very good, so I highly recommend.

@sparrowhawke Ah, ’tis my time to shine.

I’ve read so much manga in the last few years I’m not sure if I should be ashamed or not. At this point I’ve been desensitised to most things so I’m going to watch myself when recommending stuff.

When people ask for reccs usually the first one I recommend is Fullmetal Alchemist! It’s absolutely perfect,…[Read more]

@daisy-torres *distant coughing* My stuff.

@kathleenramm

Shortest was a quick three page short called “Delusionary” that was based off of a quick two line conversation someone and I had during rehearsal one day. But short stories aside, I can write 50-80k work in 40 days. But that doesn’t count, actually. Which perfectly segues me into…

Longest: “Thirteen Ways to Infinity” is an…[Read more]

Shortest: Not counting short stories, since I can write at least one of those in a single day, the project that took the least time for me was the novel I wrote the first time I officially participated in NaNoWriMo. I wrote around 53k in 23 days. I have no plans to do anything with that novel because it’s kind of terrible and there are very few…[Read more]

How exciting! Congratulations!

@abigail-m

you didn’t have to cross the “better than a comedian” part out. I’ll take that compliment proudly.

Thanks for the story, the yoda quote, and tips. But honestly, time isn’t my problem. I have several hours of free time a day where I just lay down and stare up at the sky and contemplate my life and daydream about what could have…[Read more]

@trahia-the-minstrel I’ve read the whole of Assassination Classroom and I agree that the content/humor can get very. Um. Yeah. But also the overall story and themes are really good, so I view it in a positive light. Dr. Stone I’ve gotten a lot of ads for, but haven’t watched it yet.

Um. Content for Code Geass (it’s been years)… I watched it…[Read more]

The first book reads like a bedtime story. It’s not the deepest. It’s not necessarily high-quality literature. But it’s fun and it kicks things off. (And I personally enjoyed the footnotes; I found the writing style amusing.)

The second book I don’t remember real well except that I wasn’t a big fan of it, but it’s a…[Read more]

@not-so-secret-secret-assassin *whispers* Based.

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before, but I read way more manga than I do watch anime, simply because I don’t have the time for it. And when I do have the time, I watch whatever I want on a whim. For example, finding the entirety of season one of Assassination Classroom was no mistake. I’m…[Read more]

@not-so-secret-secret-assassin While I do choose to forget a lot of things, one thing I will remember is that I haven’t read any books, much less middle-grade fiction, for years. And I don’t remember reading much fantasy, at all. And honestly books with dragons in them are pretty much all the same (where’s my Eastern Dragon representation, eh?)

@devastate-lasting Your silence speaks volumes. You HAVE read it before, Linyang. You just chose to give yourself amnesia so you didn’t have to continue having nightmares about it. Smart choice. Any tips for self induced amnesia? Oh yeah, you wouldn’t remember.

And thanks for your blessing. I’ll need it.

I don’t like anime. It’s too nerdy for me. I’m not a cringe weeb. I’ve moved on to greater things.

That said, I only like Attack on Titan.

And maybe Full Metal Alchemist.

And To Your Eternity.

And Erased.

And Death Note.

And The Promised Neverland.

And Your Lie In April.

And Hunter X Hunter.

But other than that, there definitely isn’t any…[Read more]

@not-so-secret-secret-assassin Never read before, no comment. Good luck on leg day.

Okay. I’m going back to the gym now. This was way too much nerdy book stuff for one day.

IT’S LEG DAY BABY LEZZ GOOOO!

@e-k-seaver

I’ll let you believe whatever you want. 🙂

@kathleenramm It’s been a while since I’ve read it, so honestly I don’t remember. Probably Phil, haha. You?

@anatra23 A friend introduced me to Rightstuf Anime that has super cheap manga, only thing is after buying from it you’ll be tempted to buy a ton, because people usually buy in bulk from there.
