Hey everyone! Apologies for how long the reply took.

Hey Lexi! Nice to meet you!

My favorite genre to write in is fantasy.

I’ve been making stories from an early age, and trying to write a novel since 2015.

My favorite novels are often parts of series, so I…[Read more]

Oh, wow. What kind of car was that? If you do end up writing this into a story I bet you could make up some really cool explanation, like… alien car, fairy car, super-high-tech-rich-guy’s car, I don’t know. XD

But I can imagine it being a really fun scene.

  • Hello friends!

I hope everyone is doing well <3

So, long story short, I’m attempting to “get back into” reading. It’s been a long while since I’ve read regularly for pleasure (I blame being an English major in college–it’s difficult to find the mental space for a “fun” book when you’re floundering through various reading lists, you see), and I…[Read more]

The first time I remember writing a story was when I was… idk, 6? To be clear tho, my writing habits were extremely sporadic until I turned 13 a few years ago. I don’t know if I even could…[Read more]

@devastate-lasting I’d love to answer your questions!

My current WIP is about a girl who falls into a coma after a bad accident and wakes up in the Unconscious Place. The place where people go when they’re…unconscious. It’s about her adventure to escape the Unconscious Place and wake up. (not a great cover copy, but you get the gist lol)

  • This is very random, but when y’all are writing and you get stuck at a scene, do you make yourself keep working on it so you stay in order? Or do you sort of jump to the next scene that interests you so you can keep up your momentum?

  • @devastate-lasting  Thanks for the advice and encouragement! It would be pretty easy to fix the plot holes some other way, but I do like how my idea pulls seemingly unrelated things together.

  • Hiya!!

So I wanted to get y’all’s opinions on some of my synopsis and tag line and see if y’all had any critiques or even ideas I could use to make some more! This is for my current WIP, Destiny’s Murder.

Also, I really wanna read y’all’s synopses and tag line if you don’t mind sharing!

Love les miserables – ofc the musical but the book is amazing. Can’t go wrong with Austen, and I love the Odyssey, Illiad… yeah I love a lot lol.

    @lydia-s Hello!

Oh, that sounds awesome! I adore Jane Austen and retellings are so cool. That does sound like fun!

    1. Elizabeth Bennet. Lizzie forever! 🙂

Hello and nice to meet you!

    1. It’s about a girl – Eva – whose father has tuberculosis and whose mother is looking for a job. Eva finds a young hobo named Charlie and she tries to get her family to help him. Yikes, that doesn’t sound very interesting! (I certainly hope it is. But as it’s my fault I don’t have a nicer blurb, I…[Read more]

@devastate-lasting Oh boy. Not sure how to summarize my lengthy plot line. ;P The main gist of the book is that there are four siblings growing up in America who discover, after their only surviving parent dies, that their parents fled to America from a different world (and yes, they had a reasonable way to do this but it would take way too long…[Read more]

Hi! I’m currently about halfway through writing a fantasy novel. As for movies, I like the three Chronicles of Narnia ones and How to Train Your Dragon I, II, and III. I like pretty much any music that is epic (like movie themes) and doesn’t have words. Besides writing, I enjoy reading, photography, being outside, spending…[Read more]

  • Hello all! I’ve been feeling really discouraged lately about my writing. It doesn’t seem very good to me, and reading other people’s amazing work doesn’t help. How do y’all get motivated when you just want to chuck it all in the garbage can (if I’m not the only one that ever wants to do that)?
