You guys are awesome! I can’t believe how quickly y’all replied to my post. You certainly know how to make a newcomer (or oldcomer XD) feel welcome!! Sorry that I took so long to respond! I wanted to get all the replies done at once.
Hi!! Ooh, yeah we are pretty close! To be honest, my type has fluctuated but I mainly stay ENFP-T…[Read more]

That’s pretty rough. But a good idea for honest critique…
So, my friend read a short story of mine once. You must understand, this friend was very nice and polite. But after reading my story she kinda cringed, looked at me, and said she’d get the edit back to me later. Yea, so a couple weeks later she hands me my book and it’s…[Read more]

That’s totally true. I would feel so bad if I forgot something! Thanks for the advice!!
Yes, I have definitely been noticing that KP is good at that…. I hadn’t even thought about a lopsided draft, so that’s super good to remember. And thanks for the advice about the word count! Very helpful…[Read more]

Agh, CONGRATS!!!!! Unfortunately, since the school year started, I don’t think I’d have time to read it. I wish I could, though! Hopefully, I’ll someday be able to read the published copy. 🙂 Again, CONGRATS!!!!!! *throws confetti and chocolate*

Thanks! 🙂
Well, she’s an interesting character… She’s actually a villain. 😁 A traitor, to be specific. She’s sweet, caring, and a lot of fun, but she’s got a stubborn, rebellious streak, unfortunately. She ends up valuing her “freedom” above everything else, breaking someone’s heart and ripping up several deep friendships in the…[Read more]

@nanisnook Welcome back! Yeah KP can make me feel guilty too…but I recently started working on a short story so I feel a bit better about it now haha
Honestly, I might just go back (if you’re working in a Word/Google doc) and put some comments in the places where I want to add those ideas. But if they are huge things that affect everything in…[Read more]

Hey guys! Wow, it’s been so long since I’ve been on here
because I haven’t written in forever and KP makes me guilty! This is kinda two questions in one topic, but the first one is more important haha.1. I’ve had a couple of pretty major ideas to add to my WIP (i.e., the main character’s dad died before the start of the book; a necklace t…[Read more]

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in reading the first chapter of The Inventor’s Daughter! This is my first time asking for a critique so it’s pretty exciting! Let me know and I can share it by email. I would like it to be read before Friday afternoon if not that’s ok!
God bless!

@daisy-torres Mine is a poem, so there isn’t a blurb but it’s pretty much about a Young woman who allows words (her magic mirror) to speak into her life for too long, turning her into the evil queen. It’s a warning for silencing voices that are toxic in your life and knowing what is truly important.
themes would probably be dark colors and some…[Read more]

@daisy-torres Awesome!!! Thank you so much!!!!! 🙂 Of course! [ @scripter-of-kingdom @faith-q @godlyfantasy12 ] Some of the authors aren’t on KP, but their stories include spy/sci-fi, sci-fi in general, fantasy, crime, and realistic. This link: https://allieandersen.com/published-works/ has the summary for “Shape-Shifter’s Code,” if that helps.

Hello!!
I joined the Kingdom Pen forum back in December and made a few appearances, but I only just now got around to introducing myself!
Writing has been a passion of mine for a long time, but Kingdom Pen was really the place that encouraged me to get serious about it. About 4 years ago, I began reading the articles, stories, and poetry― as w…[Read more]

@daisy-torres Ooh, I’m definitely interested, though I may or may not have the time to fully dive into it and give you solid feedback. How soon do you need the critique back?

Aw, sorry to hear that! >:P I’m looking forward to your responses!! :DDD

Thank you!! Hopefully I’ll be up-and-running soon XD

XD yeah. it’s always frustrating when computers decide to behave all wonky XDDD

It seriously is X( Or apps! Recently, Google updated my laptop, and none of my writing apps are letting me write right. Hopefully that’ll straighten out too. Apparently quite a few people are having the same issues sadly…

Yo, that’s so dumb XDD (haha write right) I hope it will. Modern technology is not, in fact, always reliable. Hence the fact that I write on a Thinkpad 2003 laptop. 😂

Thank you so much for being my prayer buddy!!!<333
Could you pray for my uncle? He's in the hospital and has covid and pneumonia.
I’m soooo sorry I didn’t see your message!!! I will DEFINITELY pray with you!! How is he doing?? @mkfairygirl
@daisy-torres It’s alright. 🙂 Thank you!! He’s out of the hospital now but is still experiencing symptoms and having trouble breathing.
@mkfairygirl I’m glad to hear he’s out of the hospital!! My grandma just got it recently and was experiencing a lot of aching in her joints. If he has that, he may wanna try keeping himself warm, as that stops inflammation *cough* or so @elfwing says XD But it definitely helped my grandma with that. Also the doctor told my grandma to keep moving…[Read more]
@mkfairygirl aw I’m sorry, that’s kind of scary 🙁
I do have some tips, I was sick for over 6 weeks with long covid and almost hospitalized, and although I didn’t have pneumonia, my lungs were pretty bad.

@elfwing Awww girll you still don’t have your taste and smell back? Poor thing!! I read several articles online where people were able to get it back by stimulating those areas of their brains! Try picking up random objects and focusing on the way they smell. My grandma lost her taste and smell too, but she can taste salty and sweet things. Maybe…[Read more]
@daisy-torres My mom has tried the essential oil trick but all it did was clear my sinuses haha. What happens when people lose their sense of smell and taste to covid, is that the inflammation sometimes causes damages the nerve endings, affecting smell and taste. I was sick for almost two months, so I guess it did *shrugs
I have tried…[Read more]
@elfwing My mom was saying she saw a tiktok video where people were roasting a whole orange on an open fire, and once it had grill marks on it they sliced it open and added brown sugar inside and ate it.
