      • @gracie-j @writerlexi1216 Thank you guys so much!!!

I have an update, but we don’t know if it’s good or bad yet. The hospital was so full of patients with covid that she couldn’t get in. They put her n oxygen and sent her home saying she has a virus. She literally PASSED OUT from lack of oxygen in the ER because it took so long. They didn’t even prescribe her anything! My grandpa (who is a doctor) had to prescribe antibiotics for her.

Thank y’all again for praying!! I’m not sure yet how this will turn out, but it definitely makes it better to know people are praying.

    • @daisy-torres I just now saw this, but I will DEFINITELY pray for your aunt!!!🙏 I hope everything is alright!<3

            • Thank you so much for being my prayer buddy!!!<333

Could you pray for my uncle? He's in the hospital and has covid and pneumonia.

          • I’m soooo sorry I didn’t see your message!!! I will DEFINITELY pray with you!! How is he doing?? @mkfairygirl

            • @daisy-torres It’s alright. 🙂 Thank you!! He’s out of the hospital now but is still experiencing symptoms and having trouble breathing.

            • @mkfairygirl I’m glad to hear he’s out of the hospital!! My grandma just got it recently and was experiencing a lot of aching in her joints. If he has that, he may wanna try keeping himself warm, as that stops inflammation *cough* or so @elfwing says XD But it definitely helped my grandma with that. Also the doctor told my grandma to keep moving around, that it keeps the body going better. He also said that the people that stay still the most usually get hospitalized the most.

If you want any home remedy tips, let me know XD I have a bunch I could share

            • @mkfairygirl aw I’m sorry, that’s kind of scary 🙁
I do have some tips, I was sick for over 6 weeks with long covid and almost hospitalized, and although I didn’t have pneumonia, my lungs were pretty bad.
I’m still struggling with tiredness and achiness and loss of taste and smell a year later. If I’m around people for two hours and it exhausts me. XD
The idea behind keeping warm is more that heat helps kill the virus, cold does not.
Hot showers, wearing sweaters/warm clothing, lots of hot drinks, broth, etc are really helpful.
Keeping warm is going to seem ridiculous if he has a fever and it may not feel very good but it does help.
it is definitely important to move around, because your lymph nodes help fight disease and if you don’t keep moving, circulation slows and the nodes can become really sluggish and not do their job very well.
that said, it’s also important not to overdo it. I would put it, one day forward three days back. If you overdo it and tire yourself out, you’ll feel worse again. the virus causes inflammation.
Vitamin C can really help boost the immune system, and also remember to get enough vitamin D if he’s indoors a lot, it is also very important for your body fighting sickness, although nothing beats sunshine. 🙂
I would also recommend elderberry gummies/cordial, but make sure it doesn’t interfere with medications or that could be very bad.
sorry for the long post, I’ll be praying

            • @elfwing Awww girll you still don’t have your taste and smell back? Poor thing!! I read several articles online where people were able to get it back by stimulating those areas of their brains! Try picking up random objects and focusing on the way they smell. My grandma lost her taste and smell too, but she can taste salty and sweet things. Maybe find what you can taste the most and try experimenting with it, if you can?

Another thing is one of my mom’s old co-workers had shoved cotton up her nose when she was a kid, so still this day she can’t smell or taste because the cotton caused an infection. Mom and I theorised that maybe smelling a lot of tea tree oil could help if it’s an infection from covid that causes it? Not too sure, but you might try it out! Keep me updated on your progress, okay?? I’m still praying for you!!

            • @daisy-torres My mom has tried the essential oil trick but all it did was clear my sinuses haha. What happens when people lose their sense of smell and taste to covid, is that the inflammation sometimes causes damages the nerve endings, affecting smell and taste. I was sick for almost two months, so I guess it did *shrugs
I have tried experimenting for sure.

oof that would suck, poor gal.

              Aw thanks, will do.

            • @elfwing My mom was saying she saw a tiktok video where people were roasting a whole orange on an open fire, and once it had grill marks on it they sliced it open and added brown sugar inside and ate it. Supposedly the combination of sweet and sour, plus the scent of the grilling, is enough to stimulate the area of the brain that can’t smell/taste anymore. I don’t know if it works, but I’ve heard of a couple of people who tried it and succeeded!
