@hannah-c ;-; A sad curse indeed, though a necessary one. 😛
That sounds awesome! I wasn’t ever able to get into historical fiction, though it’s really interesting to read. <3 And an autobiography. That sounds fun too! Good luck with both of them.
Rn I’m writing a science fiction set in a world that is torn between industrialism and…[Read more]

@hannah-c Same here! It probably won’t be for quite some time yet since I just recently sent it off to betas, but one way or another I’m planning to send it to them. 😛
Oof I know how that goes, since I did work over the summer. But your book will always be there for you. <3 What’s your current WIP about?

@hannah-c Heya! I’m kind of sort of still here. Not often, really, unless I get tagged. But lately, I’ve been writing a ton of sci-fi, doing NaNo, finishing my 6th book, and editing another to get ready to send to agents. (!!!!!)
And I sure hope I’ve fed my dragon lately… because I am one. XD
How about you? How’s the writing going?

Heyyyy @Dragon-Snapper!
I don’t know if you still get notifications or anything, but I thought I’d message you here in case my messages through your blog aren’t going through and on the off-chance you’d get the message here. So, I guess if you haven’t gotten my blog messages you won’t know what I’m talking about. 😛 I’m doing a project for Sarah…[Read more]

Aw man, agreed. So nostalgic and sad. I miss the old days. Doesn’t mean new days can’t be as good, but there’s nothing like the close-knit circle of friends there used to be. I don’t frequent KP to speak of anymore; other goals, other priorities like you mentioned. But I shan’t ever forget it. *cue the sappy music* It was an…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Update: I got two phone calls yesterday for two job interviews! One for after school tutoring and another for Kmart. Definitely a pleasant surprise after months of job-hunting and prayer, but also perfect timing as I start uni in a few weeks.

@dekreel Whoa, nice! I just checked it out and it looks great! I certainly look forward to reading more of your rambles. 🙂
Reminds me… I had a random blog on WordPress a few years ago which I completely abandoned to fight for my life in the great, mental cage fight known as school.

This is one of my favorite threads. And @epicaddie2, that is definitely what I look like right before a plot twist. 😉

@seekjustice Oof. That reminds me of when I lived on a sugar cane farm up around Cairns. It was an old, rickety, rural house that barely had radio signal and we’d swim in the creek nearby or stand right in front of the pedestal fan in our vain attempts to stay somewhat cool. Fortunately, I only had one sibling capable of getting in my way at the time.

@seekjustice Queenslander here, so we’re safe from the heatwave… for now. I’ve got a friend down in Canberra, so I’ve heard that it’s pretty rough there at the moment. I’ll certainly be praying for… well, most of Australia. I can’t even stay in my room during the day because my ceiling fan’s broken and it’s in the hottest part of the house.

@rochellaine Gotcha. An Australian version of Mary Poppins would be legendary, though. And I do indeed know of Ken Ham.
@seekjustice That is correct. P.L. Travers was born in Australia and moved to London to pursue writing.
I’m currently writing, though I’m a little late. Got guests over, so it’s been a little on-and-off since I need to avoid…[Read more]

@rochellaine I know I’m just being nitpicky, but tECHNICALLy, “bloke” is a British word. I mean, it makes sense that our Australian slang originated in England: bloke, mate, chockablock, “bloody” before every second word, etc.
I just looked up some other slang and wow… I didn’t realise the word “dodgy” isn’t really a thing in America. Although,…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Ooh, that sounds cool. Do you own a horse yourself? I’ve actually been getting back into photography lately. It’s always fun to experiment with different techniques.
I guess I’m most looking forward to the amount of freedom I’ll get in comparison to school. And as someone who struggled to make friends in the school system, I’m hoping…[Read more]

@seekjustice Hello! Your name seems pretty familiar, but it’s always a pleasure to see another of our kind on the interwebs. 😛
@rochellaine And that is very true. During my online life, I’ve found a lot of differences in my writing from most others. Stuff like the spelling of kerb and curb, then words that are completely different, like…[Read more]

@dekreel Nah, it was very intentional. And yes, I know the feeling of compiling lists of people’s types. It’s a great feeling when your guesses prove to be correct.
@rochellaine Hi! Yeah, I noticed that it’s a lot quieter since I was last here.
And yes, I am indeed. I happen to be one of those rare internet-dwelling Australians. XD

Hey girl!! It’s been way too long since I’ve gotten a notification around here. <333
So, blogger has been having some issues with the contact form lately. I looked it up and it doesn't seem like there's much of a solution, but I'm not the only blogger who isn't receiving messages. ;-; NOT COOL. But, I'm so glad that you messaged me…[Read more]

Yeah, Blogger wasn’t being very nice. :/ Anyway, I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to do email or address, for that matter. Hmmm. Well, I think I have Kate’s email, so you could ask her for my email and send me the address that way? And I’d love to do a handwritten note, and I’ll try to get that your way as soon as I can. <3
