@nanisnook
Hey, girl!! First of all, I am SO SORRY that it’s taken me this long to get back to you about those chapters you posted a while ago!! They were SO good and I thought you did such a great job with them! Ember is such a likable protagonist, and that sword-fighting scene was written so beautifully that you even helped me with my own! And…[Read more] -

*grabs coffee mug, finds the comfiest chair possible, and then proceeds to sigh* Ah, I remember the ol’ writer’s corner. It’s good to be back! *sips from English mug* I’ll probably be around to chat today if anyone wants to talk about anything writerly (or coffee–I can totally talk about coffee too). Thank you for starting this…[Read more]

Ooh, would you mind doing a novel cover for me? I’d really appreciate it! The novel is called Echoes of Destiny, the theme is hope and bravery, and the elements are anything to do with knighthood and/or swords. You could use colors like grays, pinks, or browns, if you’d like! Thank you so much, and if you need more details let me know! 🙂

Aww, thank you!!!:) Oh yes, everything always looks so strange after being gone for so long… I feel like I’ve missed so much every time I come back. Haha yes, my schedule is SO crammed even with being on summer break, so *raises hand* I totally understand being busy! I’ve been telling myself I need to make a schedule to make time,…[Read more]

Unfortunately, yes (I went to edit because of a grammar error and then it vanished). Oh, that would be wonderful, thank you! 🙂

Girl, I totally understand feeling stuck about this, and might I say, @gracie-j, I’m honored that you tagged me! 🙂 Okay, so first of all, this elements sound very hooking and I know it can be a struggle with introducing new worlds/characters in a flash. Seriously, my novel is chock-full of this.

You did an ASTOUNDING job with this poem, girl! Every line flowed so smoothly, the rhythm was very well-written, the parallels at the end were just, *chef’s kiss* brilliant, and overall I think you did a fantastic job! I have to say that the ending is my favorite part, and the shift in tenses wasn’t problematic at all. Great job!…[Read more]

No no, you weren’t late at all (I can be behind schedule when it comes to replies, so don’t worry about it)!! Oh yes, fantasy is at the top of the list for my favorite genres to read and write, so it sounds like we have some things in common already!:) Wow, that’s so amazing! I’d love to hear more about it if you care to share! 😀 O…[Read more]

Alexa Autorski replied to the topic To edit or not to edit… in the forum General Writing Discussions 3 years, 5 months ago
Like Jenna said, I would recommend editing the first book before moving on to the sequel. I myself am writing a trilogy, and while I’ve outlined (loosely) all three books, I’m going to completely edit them one at a time before moving onward. That way, if you get new ideas or want to tweak the storyline a bit, you have the freedom to…[Read more]
