@calidris Heey nice to meet you!!
A bit about me: I am an oldest sibling, published my first book at 15, published my second book at 17 *cough* this June, I love art of all forms and dabble in a bit of everything: textiles, writing, poetry, painting, drawing, music, wood-burning, everything XD I also love languages, and even though I’m entirely…[Read more]

Hey, sorry about the late welcome, but WELCOME anyway! I’m Ella, I write dystopian/thriller/suspense/mystery/post-apocalyptic/YA novels. I love myself a good mystery/thriller book on a rainy day with a cup of tea, if I’m in the mood. If I’m not, I’m most likely in the gym or playing basketball or hanging with friends. And writing is…[Read more]

Thanks! Well, i always had the idea for Hope’s character in the back of my head, but watching the Will Smith movie, I Am Legend inspired me to expand the plot. That movie, paired with Interstellar really sealed the bill for me. XD I love complex plots, high stakes, and characters searching for family/romance, so this story is b…[Read more]

Tbh, i feel like every era was just plain bad. XD Maybe i’d go back to the eighties and nineties to jam out and crowdsurf XDDD Not a super intelligent answer, but that’s what I’d do:)

ella replied to the topic What are the 2 (or 3) biggest stakes in your story? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years, 3 months ago
for my WIP Spirals, the stakes are the choices between life and death. Hope, the MC, lives alone in the wild and wants a “family” more than anything: parents, friends, anyone. Every decision she makes decides if she’ll survive the next morning. The people living in the post-apocalyptic world are basically insane so she never know…[Read more]

@elfwing Awww, girl I would love to, but right now I’m beta-ing another book, trying to get through a huge stack of sci-fi library books to expand my horizons (since I’m writing sci-fi, after all XD), editing my own book, and writing a part two book T_T If I can get through all of this though I would love to!!!

@daisy-torres It’s alright. 🙂 Thank you!! He’s out of the hospital now but is still experiencing symptoms and having trouble breathing.
@mkfairygirl I’m glad to hear he’s out of the hospital!! My grandma just got it recently and was experiencing a lot of aching in her joints. If he has that, he may wanna try keeping himself warm, as that stops inflammation *cough* or so @elfwing says XD But it definitely helped my grandma with that. Also the doctor told my grandma to keep moving…[Read more]
@mkfairygirl aw I’m sorry, that’s kind of scary 🙁
I do have some tips, I was sick for over 6 weeks with long covid and almost hospitalized, and although I didn’t have pneumonia, my lungs were pretty bad.
I’m still struggling with tiredness and achiness and loss of taste and smell a year later. If I’m around people for two hours and it exhausts…[Read more]
@elfwing Awww girll you still don’t have your taste and smell back? Poor thing!! I read several articles online where people were able to get it back by stimulating those areas of their brains! Try picking up random objects and focusing on the way they smell. My grandma lost her taste and smell too, but she can taste salty and sweet things. Maybe…[Read more]
@daisy-torres My mom has tried the essential oil trick but all it did was clear my sinuses haha. What happens when people lose their sense of smell and taste to covid, is that the inflammation sometimes causes damages the nerve endings, affecting smell and taste. I was sick for almost two months, so I guess it did *shrugs
I have tried…[Read more]
@elfwing My mom was saying she saw a tiktok video where people were roasting a whole orange on an open fire, and once it had grill marks on it they sliced it open and added brown sugar inside and ate it. Supposedly the combination of sweet and sour, plus the scent of the grilling, is enough to stimulate the area of the brain that can’t smell/taste…[Read more]
