No, for this I had one sheet of paper covered with characters I wanted to be  in it, and then another page for me to jot down ideas as I wrote.

That’s interesting. It would be cool to look back through the book to find what exactly it was missing that made you unable to connect. That’s what I love to do when I read a book I don’t like. Pinpoint everything little thing that made me dislike it. It really helps me out with my writing.
