The more I look at it the more I like this layout.

That looks great! The archery range might need more space, but then that would only be for like, way more intense archery than the school probably wants to teach, so it makes sense. The stables would need room for paddocks and training yards, so it would be a pretty good size in and of itself. We could say the gymnasium is behind the school, and then the stables are behind that, and there are gardens on both sides of the main school complex? Idk.

Hmm. Maybe a separate building? Like maybe they originally had a big hall inside the school, but quickly realized it was way too small for all their needs, so that hall is now a music/orchestra/choir room? They are teaching future monarchs and nobles that will need to lead armies, fight duels, and who knows what else each country…[Read more]

I keep thinking of a mix between Edwardian Boarding School Gyms, modern day gyms, and medieval tilting yards.
