I get what you mean about stories; i reread stories my younger siblings currently are reading and was like “I used to like that… what happened?”
ok, I’ll say it. *winces
Chronicles of Narnia. I know it is probably shocking, but let me explain.
I loved reading Narnia as a child, but as I grew up a little the cacophonous…[Read more]

Thanks! Your book sounds cool! And I totally get what you mean — self-publishing gives you a lot more control over everything from the cover to the content, from what I’ve researched.😊

Have you ever heard of Simon Khorolskiy? If you like good Russian worship music most of what I’ve heard of his I recommend.

Is there any particular wolf biography you would recommend? Wolves are such beautiful creatures, it is sad when they are usually viewed as evil. That was one reason I wanted to write about them. This does help with the theme for this series; it doesn’t matter who you are, what you had done, or where you’ve been, you choose what heart…[Read more]

This is all first draft, so… you know. Feedback more than welcome.
Note: The epilogue takes place in a world war almost a thousand years later.
Prologue
The sun was sinking, weary with winter. Moonlight was already dancing with the falling snow. A lonesome voice joined winds in song, then fell away. The stars hid, buried deep in…[Read more] -

Thanks! I am glad you like it! I try to put lots of friendships in my stories because I am a sucker for good loyal friendships and tragic heartbreaks and I don’t like writing romance much…
My book would in the fantasy genre and I’d say teen for age range because of the wars and plagues and content like really evil people…[Read more]

Yes! I love Taylor Davis’s cover too! I think my favourites out of that album are Song of Time/Song of Storms, Midna’s Lament, and Serenade of Water!
You own a cool amount of ocarinas.😁 Have you seen Spencer Ocarina’s Zelda video on YouTube? He plays all the Ocarina of Time tunes on his ocarina while in costume at locations. He even…[Read more]

Oh, and I’m thrilled you are using 9th century Russia! Most goof Medieval fantasy I’ve read is based in later centuries when there is so much left in earlier times.

Um, I’m not sure what you mean by biographies, but I don’t think so. Most of what I know has come from old textbooks, pictures, and conversations. Most of the fictional books I’ve read that include some type of wolf usually equate them with something bad. Or maybe I just haven’t read many books with wolf characters.
Thank you! I try…[Read more]

Ok, so I was just kicked off the KP site maybe, five times? Around 4:20 Central Time repeatedly it did this, whenever I went to change forums, and twice trying to get in.
Every time it did this up came a page saying Internal Error 500 and to notify the managers of KP about when it happened and what I was doing.
So… this seems like the right…[Read more]

@anatra23 Yeah, eyes can be hard to do. I think this was one of my best attempts at the “photo” look yet. For what it’s worth, there are bunches of step-by-step images online for eyes that I found transformed the way my sketches looked. That and copying detailed photographs.
Sorry I have taken so…[Read more]

Jaybird replied to the topic Why do you write? in the forum Topic of the Week 4 years, 10 months ago
Why do I write? I’m not sure. I’ve actually pondered this many times; wondering if I need to be writing. Still, I haven’t been writing like this for long, so some things aren’t ironed out yet.
I started writing because I saw a lack of good, true (fun) books to be had. All the newer authors seemed to either be trailing off the deep end or leaving…[Read more]
