Thank you!
He’s on life support right now, but so far nothing has really changed in the past twenty-four hours as far as I know. Thank you so much for your prayer, Faith!
It’s hard, so thank you so much for your prayer:)
Thank you so so much:)
This sounds cool!
Okay so the three things I really liked about this are #1 the whole circus/murder mystery #2 the fact we’ll be getting into the past of a circus #3 they have high stakes at risk.
The three questions I have would be #1 why are Ara and November, in particular, being targeted #2 what are they doing in the circus world #3 will the circus ultimately be their enemy or friend? Or something entirely what they didn’t expect?
Okay, that end bit sounded kinda dramatic. But anyways, from everything I’ve heard about it around here, DM sounds like an awesome story 😀

@not-so-secret-secret-assassin
1st of all, your Forum Topic Intro was almost as fun to read as the chapters… I guess that explains why I haven’t heard from Shakespeare lately.
2nd of all.
I’m sorry.
Eh, not for the late replay as much as I am for not reading this sooner. Don’t get me wrong, as much as I’d love to bash a video game-themed story, I just can’t. This is legit the first time (in a while) that I didn’t stop reading something to nitpick small errors. Both chapters executed being epic.
Both had great characters, awesome action flow, good stakes, good dialogue, and some description work that I’m just gonna have to applaud you guys on. Anime girl, porcupine man, the alien and turquoise hair mafia dudes, the girl who sold Dr. Pepper, Freddie. I don’t even have to go back and re-read anything to memorize the descriptions.
I like how you plunged everyone into a load of trouble right off. Along with ‘Mario’ now in trouble with THE MAFIA. Gripping. Plus the two layers of the video game world were pretty cool to imagine. Awesome work on this.

Ah, don’t be sorry. Waiting makes seeing a new article all that much more exciting, plus I totally get being busy (being bored is literally a luxury for me XD ). But anyway, that’s amazing! I looked at the Author Conservatory’s website tonight actually to learn what it was… and it looks spectacular! I may have t look deeper into it sometime.
I’m so excited for you that you decided to join; I wish you the best of writerly wishes there 😀Okay, first of all, I gotta say that I love this. Second of all, I have quite a handful of characters that these questions apply to. Thank you in advance for this topic by the way.
Is there a characters I don’t like, but don’t hate either?
Okay so this might put Shannon Messenger fans on the defensive, but I’m gonna say Fitz Vacker from The Keeper of the Lost Cities 100% He’s is the kind of character that you just can’t quite hate, but if he were hit squarely in the face with a ‘pink splotch ball’, it’d make one the happiest person alive.I’d say I would help any characters from my WIP back up from the cliff edge, even the villains so they could go and conjure another plot against the protagonist… I’m not the nicest writer. I’d also help up any character from LotR minus the balorg, orcs, Sauron, etc, etc. Gollum, I’d help up though.
Worst villains? Best hero? Are you sure real people can’t count…? XD Just kidding.
I’d have to say the worst villain as in the worst in being evil is: The White Witch from Narnia. There are other evil villains to be sure, in fact my mind is drawing a blank on almost every other villain I’ve ever read, but The White Which is hard to beat in this area. But the best hero, now, I’d have to say is… that’s a hard one. My mind is tossing Star Wars characters around with Disney and LotR characters, making it hard to decide on just one. But I think Sam Gamgee deserves notice.
Nope, I haven’t based any of my character’s directly off of any fandom characters, (at least none that my brain let me remember). I do take traits from characters on fandoms though.
Your site is amazing, Trahia! I loved it and am totally going back, I mean, writing, drawing, and nerd stuff all in one place? That’s home. I signed up for your newsletter straightaway; awesome job:)

I wish I could be of help, but I haven’t heard of the Author Conservatory before.
Awesome blurb! I liked it a lot actually, but sadly I don’t have that kind of platform at the moment to sign up. Though I wish you the best! 😀
Hi, Keilah! I’ve never read Green Ember before, but it sounds awesome. That’s a really wonderful thing about Kingdom Pen, I learn about new books to read, from other writers. I’m totally going to read this one:) What’s your favorite part about it?
Hi, Annabelle! I apologize for replying to you so late, (I can often take awhile with replying on Kingdom Pen, so thank you for your patience). I read the excerpt of your book and thought it was awesome!! I always love a good fantasy/action/romance read:) And of course, here’s my email: abigailmetzger73@gmail.com where I receive all my emails concerning writing and literature.
I love reading for other writers, everyone has a different style and perspective! So by all means, send it to me and I will gladly read it.
If there’s any help you need editing, let me know what kind of critiques or advice that would best assist you and I will do my best to help you out in that area. Also, I just wanted to note, Maria Brooks is an beautiful name for a protagonist.
XD “Author’s madness” had got to be the funniest and most relatable description I have ever read in my entire life.
This is great that you’re making progress on your series. I remember reading some excerpts you posted from it that I still remember very clearly in my mind, you also had a ‘which character are you?’ Quiz on your blog, (I ended up being Grimm twice XD ). Loved that quiz:)Anyway, yes, I think I know what you mean. My novel that I’ve been on for years has undergone tremendous changes from where it all started (including how I’m gonna dice the whole thing up book, series, or standalone wise). It sounds like lots of crazy/totally awesome changes are coming to DM which by the way sounds super cool because #1 AHA moments are always the best and at the same time sorta odd feeling at times because you think a novel’s going one way for a long time and then the WIP just yanks all your expectations out from underneath you and is like ‘hahahah nope.’ So yeah, that might not make sense, but that kind of describes what I’ve come to know about writing novels. #2 I love hearing your updates about your DM series and this sounds like it’ll be fun for you (I mean changing story structure can be a bit maddening sometimes, but still, it’s so exciting when a story takes an unexpected turn).
All in all, this is AWESOME 😀 😀
