Many of my characters from the trilogy deal with those same things! Especially Simon the Zealot. I didn’t read/ watch Harry Potter till this year but I looooveee them.  I’m STILL MAD AT JK ROWLING THO for killing my favorite characters 🙁

I wasn’t allowed to read them until I was in my mid teens, because my mum felt the last few books were too adult for me as a kid. I liked them, but honestly don’t feel any connection to them. I feel there are a lot of better series, personally I prefer Percy Jackson and Rick Riordan’s other works!

I understand! All my early writing was Historical fiction. Then I found historical fantasy. Already being a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my writing, it’s a relief not to be constantly worried about accuracy.

The funny thing is all my awful younger writing had female MCs. All of it. Then a few years ago I picked back up writing, and POOF! Nearly all male.
