So you know the story writing challenge where one person writes a sentence, then another person writes another sentence, and so on? So I’m thinking essentially thought, but basically for any worldbuilding concept.
The issue is because KP needs to be reloaded to see new posts, then multiple posts could be made to follow a previous one, but instead…[Read more]

This is actually one of my weak points. The majority of my characters I have developed are more snapshot moments of what I think are the most interesting aspects of what and who they are. So this is something I’m trying to work on, and I’m trying to implement in Lucid Wraith. Tailen’s childhood in little snippets after each chapter. My hope…[Read more]

It’s sooo good, and one of the few times Silmarillion characters actually get a happy ending. And even then, it’s depressing.
It’s really cool when a story can end that way, being able to have a lasting impact on us, in a bitter-sweet sort of way. I’ll have to look more into my Tolkien lore!
If I had purposely developed these for the sto…

Indeed, and I did already mention that Christ would probably be exempt from this, as well as the fact that God may work miracles of healing for the faithful, but that’s different from working a miracle through some individual. I’m glad you see my point though, and that we can find that common ground. Please do study, the Lord can…[Read more]

Hi Elizabeth! Welcome to KP!
I’m the Arcane Axiom, I love math, searching for divine fundamental truth, and exploring that in my writing. I read/write sci-fi/fantasy, and my current project is a universe I’m working on with my sister called the Septrum.
Questions!
Do you lean towards hard or soft worldbuilding? (hard meaning con…[Read more]

Great points! So that’s where our views would start to diverge. I agree that God still has preformed mighty miracles for those who don’t have the fullness of the Gospel, because of their sincere faith, but I feel like there is still a distinction between that, and those who actually bear priesthood authority to preform miracles in…[Read more]

Authority as in God designating specific roles, like the Pope for lack of a better example, or authority in the terms of authority God gives believers over satan and his demons?
More the first, but there are roles given without authority as well. I’m thinking of Priesthood Authority, which is authority/stewardship to lead some group,…[Read more]

I also second everything Jonas has said, so I don’t have much to add, but here’s some of my thoughts.
It really comes down to many factors involved with the character’s development if there is any (a static character is still a valid character), the reader’s degree of investment in that character, the impact the character would continue…[Read more]

Shall do. (Which stories do you know? Please tell me you know Beren and Lúthien, it has the best twist of fairy tale tropes ever, and I will die on that hill.)
I know bits and pieces. Tolkien does a lot of tales of the mortal man and fair elf maiden in the history of Middle Earth, so I get them mixed up, but I know that much.
To be ho…

You probably haven’t heard much about it because you won’t see it in the major denominations. From what I’ve seen, it’s primarily in the nondenominational churches, and it’s been something that has been brought back more in the past 50 to 70 years. There are a number of Christians who don’t believe the roles of the apostle and prophet…

Ok, well great! Thanks for clarifying that. So that’s really cool that my faith has analogues to that system, but I haven’t heard of any others that have modern day prophets and Apostles. Is there any particular individuals you believe are called Prophets that you follow, or some particular sect with this five fold structure in practice?

Ohhh, ok. So what your saying is that the evangelist themself doesn’t have a problem with personally being a disciple, but may have trouble helping others reach discipleship, because they can usually only deliver the message. Am I getting that right? That would make a lot more sense, and is actually how LDS Missionaries function.…[Read more]

Ok give me a sec… I wrote out a lengthy reply and then as soon as I hit submit, KP logged me out and I lost the post… ARGH! I’m gonna try to remember everything I said.
