@seekjustice It’s “Gee Officer Krupke” from West Side Story. West Side Story is a Romeo and Juliet retelling set among the New York street gangs during the 60s. So the boys in the song have New York accents, like the Newsies, and the song is complaining about the adult authority figures, like Newsies. It’s a bit different though. Hope you like it! (watch the movie version. Russ Tamblyn is really cute and funny and great and amazing. 😛 )

Oh yes, I’ve been meaning to watch/listen to West Side Story. I’ll have to see if our library has a DVD of it. 😀 I’ll listen to it anyway, if I get time 😀 I feel I’ve heard of Russ Tamblyn before, but I can’t think why.

I don’t know. You have read a little of mine already, haven’t you? So you know my MC isn’t the most sympathetic person around. A lot of my MC’s suffering is very much her own fault so your MC may not really empathise. Not that I know much about your MC. You are not speaking of Chara right but another story?
@valtmy Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I’m talking about Bathshua from Daughter of Judas, so she’s nearly the same age as your MC, perhaps a little older, but I think she would definitely look down on your character as stupid and annoying. 😛 However, right now she’s in a tough place where she’d be thankful for any kindness, and your character, while she might not out of pure kindness, would probably enjoy the thrill of helping someone just because it would be like one of her beloved “plays”, so they might tolerate each other for the first bit until they got to know each other.

Say, do you even know who Bathshua is? I showed @seekjustice and one other person the opening to her story, but I am pretty sure it was Ariel Ashira, and not you… *confused face* 😛
