Hey guys. I’m here now 😛
July 11, 2018 at 5:19 pm #74975@rochellaine yum, peanut butter cups…
I’m just doing a loose plotting that way I have a bit of an idea. For some reason I have trouble doing in depth plotting.
*cough* One or a whole lot. I originally had six for this book. Firebird has about that many too, so I will have to tone it down a bit. But Thief only has one, since I want to do that in first person.

July 11, 2018 at 5:28 pm #74977@valtmy Hi!
@catwing Well, I think these won’t be turning out as well as they should. I used too much peanut butter. 🙁 (I rarely use recipes. 😛 ) Have you ever made any?I usually don’t even do that much. 😮 I just say, “what if there was a person in this situation” and then write. 😛 As the book progresses I have a few scenes I plan a bit, but they’re just that, scenes, not an actual plot. It goes against almost every bit of writing advice I’ve ever heard, but I do it anyway. 😀
Ah, I don’t know if I can count the POVs I had in my last book. It’s embarrassing. Let’s see, One…two…three…I think it was at least seven or eight! That’s why I’m trying to practice writing with only one POV, so that maybe I’ll eventually even it out to a natural and normal two or three.

July 11, 2018 at 5:38 pm #74978I’m working on my novel 😀
Lol. For my plotting I know exactly how I want my story to end and I have a solid idea of what is in the immediate future but the middle is still hazy.
As for POVs… I just spent yesterday writing a scene in the POV of a very minor side character who I am pretty sure I am not going to revisit again 😛 I don’t really fancy limiting myself to a certain number of POVs because I like having the freedom to explore characters apart from the main ones and multiple POVs allows me to more easily maintain multiple storylines that intersect.
July 11, 2018 at 5:44 pm #74979@rochellaine I think I made some once.
I feel like I can’t plan to much because they do things that effect everything else. And who knows when I’m going to be sitting in church and God says, one of your characters is going to be blind. I was a bit sad it was Alex, until I told my friends. “No, you can’t do that to her!” Then it was all good. XP
It just happened to be all of those POVs. Because they’re all intriguing and have their stories. I want them all to share their side. 😉

July 11, 2018 at 5:54 pm #74980@valtmy I never have more than a very vague idea of how the story is going to end until I get right up on it. 😛 I prefer leaving the POV count open as well, but since I find books with fewer POVs easier to read and understand I decided to practice writing with less. I’ll probably use several in my next books after I finish these practice novels with one POV each. 😉
@catwing I always hate when I have an idea about my stories in church, because I don’t carry a notebook, and if I take out my phone to write a few words down to remind me of the idea later, I’m always afraid someone’s going to think I’m just playing on my phone during the sermon. 😛 And then if I decide not to write it down, I nearly always forget it by the time I get home. 🙁Well, for Daughter of Judas, since the title is specifically based on a character, I feel like it would be superfluous to have a second POV. However, I’m writing parallel scenes from a second character’s perspective just so I can get to know the other character better. I wonder if that’s weird? 🙂

July 11, 2018 at 5:56 pm #74981@rochellaine That’s why I always bring paper. 😉
