Twitch, BEWARE of falling projectiles coming through the roof!
Alpha Grath
Crashing through roofs was not ideal. Breaking through floors and catching yourself on a beam was not ideal either, plus it hurt.
“Achlys, where am I?”
“I can’t find you, Alpha.”
Joy, off the radar. Alpha pulled himself up and turned to sit on the beam. Dust was still falling from the roof as he noticed someone else in the strange room. Alpha drew one of the knives from the strap on his chest. As the blade flicked out, the sharp edge glowed red.
“Who are you?”
"You need French Toast."

Introducing my charries the Veils. They’re a pair of beings in my fantasy universe who ‘usher’ souls. They also happen to be twins.
Enimine
Age: Technically ageless, but would appear to be in her early twenties.
Description: Tall, with gray clothing, pants and wrap shirt with a large hood. Under the hood is a shiny veil made of metallic fabric that covers most of her face, probably only leaving a bit of chin. With her she’ll carry a long sword. The metal is partially hollow, with symbols carved out, it glows a pearly white light.
Personality: Calm and soothing but generally mysterious.
Naran
Age: Same deal as Enimine
Description: Close in height with his twin, with similar clothing and the same veil. He also has the same sword, just with different symbols and his ‘glows’ a dark black.
Personality: Also mysterious, he is more closed off than Enimine, and very intelligent.

Funnily enough, I have a planet called Naran in my universe, and it has a similar motif going on with light and dark.

Pretty much! One twin leads the souls to the realm of peace while the other leads souls to the opposite, and they do this by stabbing the spirits with their designated swords. Why it works this way I am still figuring out 😅

And guess what? His is eternal (:I was going to make a post about this one under the magic system topic, so I’ll tag you when I do that, but for now I can give you a brief description.
The magic system is called “Pulsing,” and the different powers are known as “Pulses.” Each one comes in a “Light” and “Dark” variety, but technically, light isn’t actually involved. The two variations do the opposite of one another. So for example, there are the Basic Light Pulse and the Basic Dark Pulse. The first creates a brief gravitational field that pulls objects towards its center. The other creates an anti-gravitational field that pushes objects away from its center. Dark Pulses can spread a magic disease called Shadowblight that causes anything it comes in contact with to corrupt and decay. There’s also a metallic substance that is related to the Light Pulses in some as of yet undecided way and is able to block the spread of Shadowblight.

“Hello?” Twitch called once again down the dark trapdoor.
Nothing.
Then something made the hair on her neck stand up. She quickly leapt out of the way just as someone came crashing through the roof above her. The man shifted and muttered to himself. Then he saw her and he pulled out a knife. Twitch took a step back. Rain trickled down on the strange man from the hole he had made, but he hardly seemed to notice.
“Who are you?”
Twitch held up her hands like she was being arrested.
“I’m just an innocent high schooler. I think I got lost? Or kidnapped. Did you kidnap me? If you don’t put that knife away I’m calling the police!” She pulled out her phone menacingly, failing to mention the current total lack of cell service.
“Nothing says autumn like slurpin’ apples.” -my uncle

“The police? What’s that? And no, I didn’t kidnap you.” Alpha grunted as he managed to stand on the beam. He closed the previous knife, and slid it into it’s holster before bringing his foot up into arms reach and sliding a knife out of his boot. He grasped the blade between his thumb and pointer finger, scanning the shadows. Finally, he put away the knife, and stood at full height.
“We are alone, for now. I am Itan Alpha Grath. What’s your name?”
"You need French Toast."

Yes, but we’re basically writing our own planets for now. I don’t really even know too much about what she’s doing XD. I think it would be cool to write some stories on each other’s worlds, but at least for me, most of my worlds need to be developed further before they would be ready for her to come and write something in.
