I have a character who travels around the world my story is set in (his name is Wanderer) and he is as annoyed as one could possibly dream a character could be.
That’s awesome 😆
Right now it is depressed and angry (think stereotypical teenage angst type thing)
The House: *emo hair flip* “Bro, you just don’t get me.”
This house is actually such a fun idea. That was just my first thought for some reason when I read that part 😂😭

Actually though, I love that so much!!!! 🤣 That is lowkey House for sure!

October 13, 2026 at 4:38 pm #214144Welcome Liska! Happy to have you here, and so cool you write fantasy stories based on scripture!
How did you find KP?

I read tons of blogs and stuff, so in all my searching for resources for young writers, I happened upon KP. The blog has been a HUGE help to me throughout my writing journey!

October 13, 2026 at 5:20 pm #214173Hello!
It’s neat to have someone new! If you’re feeling overwhelmed, don’t worry. I felt the same when I first joined.
My name is Liberty. I’m usually not that active on KP, but as I’ve recently started a Substack for my family’s ministry and write every week, I’ve been getting more into all the writing life. I’m a saved-by-grace Christian, with four sisters and one brother. I love to read and write and ride horses and train dogs and watch/critique films with my siblings. (I don’t have a horse…yet) I love history, especially American history.
A house with a character…that’s very interesting. And I love your Scottish names.
My highest word count for one single project is around 22k. But that was for a story I wrote years ago, when I was only interested in animal stories. Since then, I’ve yet to write a full novel. I’m currently working on prepping my first novel for Jesus Writing Month (an event that replaced NaNoWriMo).
What inspired your story?
Do you have a favorite Bible story?
Since Ellette already asked about books, what are some of your favorite films?

So this is actually a culmination of several of my other creative projects. I am working on a short story collection as well, and this novel is set in the same world. It is fun to have characters that can reappear to tell a new story, as well as creating new ones to get to know! I also have a story that exists only in my head (😁) about a bunch of brothers who basically take in a girl. I am a HUGE fan of big casts of characters, and that was really what motivated this project!
Do you have a favorite Bible story?
I love all of the Bible, but Paul’s conversion story has a special place in my heart. I also like Steven’s story. Both are very inspiring and I have done a lot with them as far as rewriting them into stories 🙂
Since Ellette already asked about books, what are some of your favorite films?
I love the Lord of the Rings movies, Pride and Prejudice (Kiera Knightley, Matthew McFayden version), live action Beauty and the Beast, Newsies, Stars Wars (episodes 4-6), and Little Women (the older version).

October 14, 2026 at 4:25 pm #214266Hello! I am Bilbo Baggins. I too am new here and enjoy writing scripture-based fantasy. I also love Jesus, my family and friends, Lord of the Rings, and mac and cheese.
The highest word count I have for a project is 20,068 words. Unfortunately that project has been long abandoned, but I hope to exceed that word count with a new story! What about you?
I wish you luck with your novel!!!

The highest I have is 17.5k. Also a long-abandoned project 🙂
Out of curiosity, what is your favorite book/movie of LotR? I’m a Two Towers girl myself 😁

October 15, 2026 at 2:48 pm #214394Wow 17.5k is a lot! I hope your new project/novel long surpasses it 😌
Oooh yes I love Two Towers! I will have to say that book wise it is my favorite (for I have only read half the third book, so I cannot count that one). And movie wise I love the extended version of Return of the King, but for the non-extended versions Two Towers is my favorite (The only extended movie I’ve seen is Return of the King. I really want to watch the extended versions of the other movies!). Sorry this was a complicated answer 😆
What are some of your favorite books in general? Sorry I am not sure if you have answered this before or not, but alas, I am asking.

ANYHOW. HIIIII. We met in another realm… a realm of Beans and introductions. Now I have learned to fly to other realms. Like this realm. And summon people with an @ symbol! That’s convenient.
IIIIIIIII have a question. Just one singular one.
Would you rather be a ghost-turtle, a popsicle stuck to a cat’s face, or a little pill bug? (I… dunno. My questions are weird this day. I speak what occurs to me.)

October 17, 2026 at 11:11 pm #214528*falls through ceiling* I’M BACK FROM VACATION AND HERE FOR THE CHAOS!
Greetings! I am The Ducktator, also known as Abigail, and ruler of a vast ducktatorship. I am a homeschooled senior and a writer of fantasy and some other random WIPs. Besides writing, I love reading, dancing, birding, history, and politics. I am also obsessed with ducks and anything duck related! (In case you couldn’t tell from the profile pic and username.) I have no idea what my longest wordcount is since I tend to draft by hand and haven’t actually finished a first draft yet…
Your WIP sounds awesome! I love sentient houses.
Some newbie questions!
What is your favorite kind of pancake?
If you could forcibly slap any fictional character, who would it be?
What is your favorite random fact?
How many pigeons could you carry on your person on any given day?
Are you dressing up for Halloween this year, and if so, as what?
Welcome to KP!!!
