Honestly, when I write scenes I feel nothing.

I try to be coldhearted when I write, but my hands shake when I bring a perfect couple together, and I’ve cried sometimes while trying to kill off characters and then I have to stop because I can’t see. However, it’s mostly after I’ve finished and am reading through the draft that things really hit me.

Not often. Sometimes, though, I’ll kill a character and then I’ll come downstairs crying and ask for a hug from someone.

Not typically, or at least not externally. I can tear myself up inside and spend the rest of the day letting off steam.

Now re reading it? I’ll have myself crunched up in a corner, or randomly laughing even though I wrote the whole thing.
