Oh and credit where credit is due, I used a photo of a normal person for the face because I’m horrible at drawing faces, lol.

Alriiight. This is… snaky lady. Redhead Medusa? I really don’t know. She was fun to draw though. ;P
I really liked the red, olive green and peach combo, so I went with that, and I’m probably going to do it again with another idea I had.

Oh yeah, and good job Ruth!! (I still call you Rae in my head, lol.) I like the faint fish underwater, and your dedication to the traditional markers. I can’t use markers for the life of me.

*Immediately starts drawing* I thought this was going to weigh on me somehow but I’m actually motivated. XD
Oh yeah, I’m using an extra amount of black too. For hatching. Same question as above. ^

So when Alan joins The Faithful, and suddenly his behaviour changes (such as his reasons to fight), she is disturbed by this. To her, this kind of looks like he is giving up his independent thinking to some big jerk who thinks he has a right to do whatever he wants with the world.
Ah, there we go! That makes sense. Instead of her…[Read more]

I was just thinking about art challenges today. I might not do all of them. 😆 But I’d try my best whenever there’s free time.

I spent my whole shower time thinking about this and I can explain a little better. Taking quotes from Book 1.
Chapter the 5th
Tyn watched her friend. She did not know what to say to him. Every time he had gotten in a mood like this before, she had told him he had full control over whether or not he used magic. Now she wondered if he really might…

So you’re saying she is motivated by independence, realizes this command from the king makes her look controlled, and so tries to justify it through her own moral code to still feel independent? Makes sense. But is something keeping her from switching sides in the first place? (Just digging a little)

Forgot to reply quickly 😅 Yes I would appreciate any research you already have! I’ve already got tons of reading to do for the main parts of my thesis, and psychology is part of it, so any help is welcomed – although I’m going to look for articles on my own anyway. I’m trying to find ways of cutting time becau…[Read more]

Prayers for a beautiful old church down the road from ours. It has a lot of lovely history, all the way from the late 1800s, with families buried there. But the congregation is tiny and mostly comprised of the elderly. They can barely keep up membership. The pastor got into a tractor accident, was paralyzed, and died yesterday. It was very sudden…[Read more]

I was music starved this week and added more songs to Marcel’s playlist. Enjoy if you feel like it; they’re all good songs. Teardrop by Massive Attack, One Headlight by The Wallflowers, To Be Alright by Aurora, Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush.

😂 I feel that if these characters did not try to accept differences, there would be an active fight by this point.
Marcel
Responding to Mateo first, Marcel shrugged his shoulders one by one. “Immortal, undead. I see where you’re coming from.”
He looked at the other kid. This boy was still nameless, but looked much…[Read more]

I get a lot of references from Pinterest, but I’ve heard theres a growing amount of ai art on it so ughhhh.
Yeah, there is. 😕 It’s pretty identifiable though, so I just avoid clicking on them and prompting the algorithm. Otherwise I love finding stuff on there.
I usually use references from shows I like.
I don’t watch shows o…[Read more]

It might help if you read over what you wrote before you post it. That way, if you’ve said angry things, you have time to think a little more about changing up your words.

You’re not trying to cause arguments at heart, right? Take a deep breath. It’s normal to have all kinds of thoughts when you read something for the first time. Maybe you’re struggling to know what to say and what to keep to yourself.
