I think someone mentioned this already earlier, but C.S. Lewis did a fantastic job using Aslan to represent God. Okay, the whole way he created Narnia and all the characters in those stories just blows my mind sometimes, but I love how Lewis chose a lion to represent God in the stories. I definitely want to try to show some more interactions between Libbie/Etta and some of the other girls from school (Lillian, Sara, Jennie, etc.). I just need to figure out what sub-plots I could work in.

One thing I like about these scenes is that it gives a little more of a glimpse of Libbie’s relationship with her brother Abe. I feel like he’s not a very well developed character in the story, but I want to find a way to change that.

@light-warrior-pen If you’re going for a sweet proposal, and you have your characters well developed, have the guy plan something that would be special to the girl for reasons that only they are aware of, or bring in the location of their first date or something. “At long last” is an expression (it’s like “at last”, but implies more of a “finally, after all that struggle”) but it felt a little weird to me too when I was reading it again so I’ll probably change that.
