Well, here is the link… I hope it works. I clicked something wrong the first time I tried to do it and I think I fixed it? Not sure. Let me know if you can’t open it.

Yeah I think I wrote the last RP, and Adeline was talking to Isabella but I ran out of ideas for the conversation so I ended it with Liliana approaching the McKinleys to meet the girls.

Ok, I’ll leave it in for now. The story’s still not finished anyway so I can always take it out later if I decide to.

I think that’s why the whole scene felt so weird to me, too. I have a certain amount of romance in a book that I can tolerate and usually kissing scenes are too much for me. Years ago, I personally made the decision to save my first kiss for my wedding day and I think that’s why it’s hard for me to stomach kissing scenes lol.…[Read more]

I might hop in here if I can come up with a character.

@sarafini Which one is album 75? I’m not part of the AIO club so I haven’t followed which episodes are on which album very well. I usually listen when the episodes are streamed on the radio, so I’m familiar with the storylines and characters but not really the albums they’re in.

I added a little to this part. Does this sound good?
“We’ll see who gets a red ear tonight,” Albert hinted, a glint in his eye. My skin prickled at the mention of the tradition well known in these parts of the country- any boy who happened to open a red ear of corn got to kiss his sweetheart.

@hybridlore Yeah I should probably clarify that. If you’re not aware of that tradition it definitely wouldn’t make sense. Thanks for pointing it out!

Remind me tomorrow night! I started typing it into a document (it was originally in a notebook) and I need to finish it but I won’t have time to do it tonight yet.

Let me know if anything in this section sounds strange or unrealistic. Some parts feel a little awkward to me, and I want to know if it feels that way to other readers or if it’s just me.
In early September, the first cornshucking of the season took place. Mama had finally agreed that I was old enough to go,…[Read more]

Ooh, 1rst Great Awakening? I love that time period, too. It sounds like we might have a few things in common; I write a lot in story form, but I was on a newspaper team during my one year of public school and really enjoyed writing articles, too. I was on the editorial team so if you ever need someone to bounce a paper off of, let me know…[Read more]

Welcome to KP! I’m Janessa, aka Trailblazer, and I enjoy reading, hiking, and photography (and of course, writing- why else would I be here?). I write mostly contemporary fiction, historical, a little mystery, and some journalism.
I see your quote by Patrick Henry; do you like history? If so, what time period is your favorite? I’m a bit…[Read more]

Yes, I agree with that as well. I’ve grown up in a charismatic church, so I also believe Holy Spirit still speaks to us today, and I do agree that feeling or sensing the Holy Spirit is different that our own emotions and feelings, and yes, it is a process of discernment to distinguish between the two.
And going back to the…[Read more]

Yeah, I love pretty much any American history, but especially the 1700s and 1800s. The story I’m currently writing is set in the midwest in the late 1800s so it feels a little bit like the Little House series.
