@beth-torres also has Silas, Carrie’s twin, who showed up more recently.

The whole RP started off as a party and now… lol it’s been a wild ride!
Initially, the characters met up in a house that locked them in and forced them to have a masquerade ball if they wanted to go home, but then the queen of Lillen transported them into her world to help save her people. Jonas already alluded to the…[Read more]

I’m sorry I don’t have that scene written yet or I would post it lol. I need to find a good way to write it so that it’s sweet and meaningful.

Wait, did you say it has to be in first person?

Yeah that’s an interesting idea!
I think we might also have too many locations/dragons, and if we’re already burning out with the first one, I don’t think we’re gonna get very far. I think part of my problem is that I’m terrible with fighting scenes, and even in the scenes where the characters were fighting each other, Kari wasn’t very…[Read more]

I’m not entirely sure how I want to close out the story. At this point I know they’re gonna get married but I don’t know if I want to try to add another conflict in there or something or just wrap it up. I also don’t think weddings were the same back then; I think they were usually more of a quiet family celebration but I haven’t…[Read more]

OK, this segment is basically the farthest I’ve gotten in the story so far. Lmk if you have any suggestions for things that could happen from here on out!
That summer marked the beginning of a new season for me as Albert and I formally entered into a courtship. Albert walked me home from church nearly…[Read more]

Oh goodness. A genre I don’t write in? Haha this might be interesting. We’ll see if I can come up with something.

I actually prefer sparkling water over soda… I’m not a huge fan of the usual soda flavors. Like I’ll drink them, but give me a good La Croix or Izze any day. I’m also type 1 diabetic, so I only really use soda if my blood sugar is low and I need something to bring it up quickly.

I’m still here… I’m just not great with fighting scenes, but Kari is currently with Carrie and Silas.

Welcome to KP! I’m Janessa, aka Trailblazer. I write mostly contemporary/historical fiction, with a smattering of mystery and journalism. I also enjoy hiking and photography.
And a couple questions:
Since you like to write fantasy, is it safe to assume that is also your favorite genre to read?
What is one thing God did in…[Read more]

Wow, where do I even begin on this question. I’ve grown spiritually this year more than ever before. I think the biggest thing God has done for me this year was give me a healthier perspective on enjoying things in a godly way. I have trouble keeping my hobbies from consuming my thoughts, and I constantly worry that I’m putting the…

Yeah, I prefer historical or contemporary fiction, but it’s so hard to find books in those genres that aren’t filled with romance. Historical fiction is a little easier than contemporary, just because there are historical events to focus on, and I feel like contemporary struggles to find other things to focus on.

@mineralizedwritings @whalekeeper
Sorry for butting into your conversation again! I feel this so much though…
I like romances that emphasize the friendships more, and show attraction based on complementing character traits, less of the physical stuff. Ok, let me rant for a minute 😂 I can never find a clean and well written book. LIKE…

Oh my word, I didn’t even realize I had this story on my laptop! This is from wayyyy back- I think it was the first story I ever wrote, when I was like six or seven? I roped in my younger brothers so you can thank one of them for the name “Gummy”.
My idea of a chapter was essentially a paragraph.
Chapter one
The three kids
One day three…[Read more]

Huh, that’s interesting. I guess it gives your other teeth a little more space, though. I had to have a couple teeth pulled when I was little because my mouth was so crowded, but then the adult teeth still came through so it didn’t really solve the problem, lol. I guess it just made it easier for them to give me braces.
