Keilah H. replied to the topic What's your character's Lie? in the forum Characters 5 years, 1 month ago
Hmm…. Many of my characters either have a flat arc or I can’t exactly pinpoint their lie….now I see why my stories sometimes end up flat. I suppose…..Maybe Kestrel from my Wings of Fire/Star Wars fanfic Curse of the Animus might work? She was born with a sort of power which could be called magic, and she thinks she has to carry this weight…[Read more]

@devastate-lasting I’ve watched it three or four times. The last time I watched it, I remember saying, “Ohh, I so want to trade places with Sam Flynn right now……” I actually have multiple Tron fanfics, and I have a program character who’s supposed to be me in them.

There are so many species of dragonpeople. The dragonmen had their beginning with fanfic characters, who were sometimes aliens, so I made many different types (thank the How to Train your Dragon movies and shows for the inspiration on many of them). Most are egg-layers, but a few are live-birthers (is it weird that I intricately detailed their…[Read more]

@elfwing Which scene? And your characters are all so cool! So in the first scene I had, with the battle and the character getting stabbed and everything, the character Crosshair was a human turned into a dragonman (using some method I haven’t figured out yet). It’s hard to describe Feather’s relationship to him–she kinda loves him, but is also…[Read more]

My character Hunter Starcatcher (my MC Torrent’s father). He mostly appears in memories in the first part of the story. This is when seven-year-old Torrent (she’s sixteen in the story now) wants to ride his swiftbike, which is kind of like the combination of a Tron Lightcycle and a Star Wars speeder bike.
“When you’re a bit taller. Right now you…[Read more]

Characters who have a “found family” trope:
- Rinzler/Terabyte, Rinzler: Son of Tron
- Owen and Rex, Raptor Guardian: Exile and Return
- Silverstar, {unnamed dragon story}
- Crossfire, The Fang and the Fluteplayer (that one had a few huge plot twists and is meant to be very complicated)
- Slicer, Hunterclaw’s Trial (although Slicer isn’t the main…

Rinzler watched them dash away into the outlands. He said nothing, but Terabyte had a feeling he was snarling underneath his helmet.
Rinzler took one last look at the departing Light Runner—then turned his head toward Terabyte.
Uh oh, thought Terabyte as he began to run.
Terabyte pulled his Lightcycle baton from his belt, jumped, and a…[Read more]

Griffin-morphers? Cool! My first non-fanfic novel had a main character named Griffin because my community has a griffin as its emblem……I love combining humans and other creatures, as well as the dragonmen there have been cat, bird, dinosaur and wolf people (although I guess dragons and dinosaurs can be considered the same thing). I use the c…[Read more]

@elfwing Very cool, very cool. I like how your serpentpeople turn back and forth between human and dragon. Mine can’t change; they’re always humans with dragon wings, tails, and scales. But there are ways to transform humans into dragonmen and vice versa–but those are by “magical” methods and are not normal.

@elfwing Cool! I like your drawing of him. Here are some of my dragonmen:
- Marek Diamond: This character is the legal guardian of the human character Torrent Starcatcher in my novel Into the Forbidden Cavern. He’s an ice dragon, they are actually pretty common in my stories.
- Silverstar: This character, as far as I can tell, has no last name (y…

@devastate-lasting Thanks! I thought you might like them. Tron Legacy is definitely one of my favorite movies, if not THE number one favorite……

And here’s a Tron Crosshair. He has two discs like Rinzler, but my picture doesn’t extend to the hand holding the other one…. I’m not that great at drawing disc war poses, so the end result is that he sort of looks like he’s about to disc himself in the face! (He actually isn’t.)

Tron version of Hunter from The Bad Batch…..catching a disc without looking. I drew his half-skull marking with a circuit pattern like some programs have. @ariel-f and @nanisnook I know you like The Bad Batch, and @devastate-lasting I know you like Tron, so here you all go…..Anyone else recognize either of those stories?

Keilah H. replied to the topic Have you ever fallen out of love with writing? in the forum Topic of the Week 5 years, 1 month ago
I’ve never stopped liking writing. In fact, the only experience I can think of is the fact that I could always tell great stories using drawings, but hated writing when I was younger. I learned to write better (long story about that) and soon came up with the Tesla anthology, about an electric eel. Then came my first fanfic, which doesn’t rea…[Read more]

Here’s another, longer dramatic scene. It’s a Warrior cats rendition of a scene in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
This winning streak didn’t last long. Two Sithcats came when a warrior defeated one. ResistanceClan was slowly becoming outnumbered.
“We’re not going to make it!” shouted an apprentice named Tycepaw.
“The ship’s here! Let’s go, the… - Load More
