Sounds fun!
I don’t remember if his backstory was mentioned, but I think not. Hmm…it would be interesting. Here are a few random questions;
- Does he view ridge-runners in the same light as children?
- Has he ever been a Strander?
- Does he remember before Gnag?
- What is his motive/ does he believe what he is doing is wrong?

Hey, you guys. I’m trying to write a Wingfeather Saga fan fiction and I need your help with ideas.
So, if I remember correctly, the Overseer never had a specified backstory within the Wingfeather series. Like, we knew he was a bad guy… but how did he get that way? He wasn’t like the Fangs, he was a human. Something had to happen to make him act…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Thanks! I thought that the poem was pretty awesome too. (If I do say so myself. . . which I did)
Advice? 🤔 Hmmm. . . well I would say that if you want to write poetry, you need to get a desk job that has really boring and monotonous work that once you get done with you have over an hour of down time where there is basically nothing…[Read more]

I don’t have a blog so I have no idea how to do that sort of thing…Sorry! I look forward to seeing what everyone else says, though, because I might open one someday if my books are really successful.

It appears that I am now a loyal sidekick. So. . . does that mean I’m a loyal kick in the side, which would make me a loyal pain?

Don’t give me a knight in shining armor
But send me a warrior with dents
I want a soldier with a couple scars
And not a proud man without rents
Scratches are not a sign of weakness
To get wounded you faced an assailant
And that marred and pocked armor
Says “I’m here after the fight, I made it.”
So when you look at yourself and you see…[Read more]

Power replied to the topic Find my characters Want/Goal in the forum Characters 4 years, 5 months ago
@godlyfantasy12 I have very similar problems with figuring out what my characters want? It is so important to the story and yet it can be so hard to find. With that being said, I would guess that your guy might have several goals.
Possible goal 1) He wants to live a ‘normal’ life, and doesn’t want anyone to know about his scars.
As a guy, I…[Read more]

As a guy, I can understand this. We tend to dislike and sometimes fear revealing our emotions. Even if we…[Read more] -
Keilah H. replied to the topic Do you Prefer Classical or Modern Literature? in the forum Topic of the Week 4 years, 5 months ago
@kathleenramm That’s hard. I’ve barely read any classics besides Narnia (which I liked) and Lord of the Rings (which I enjoyed, but I’m not super crazy about it like some people). Apart from those, the oldest stuff I’ve read has been a dystopia or two, The Raven (as an audio) and Much Ado about Nothing, which so far has been hilarious. But at th…[Read more]

Especially when the reader doesn’t see it coming. Bwahaha!
Yeah, I wasn’t sure I liked it either untill I started researching some stuff, then it sort of exploded. XD For instance, one of my kingdoms uses a lunar calendar, but I when I started working it out I got carried away, so now there’s a separate calendar for each of…[Read more]

Hi! I have randomly hopped on.
I’ll have to check that out. =)
(Wondering how in the world you’re going to wrap up SaM.)
Favorite tropes? I’m not sure yet. I love absolutely crushing my main carries deep into the ground (but not like most authors), then redeeming them/making something beautiful of their story. (Ok,…[Read more]

Yes, they’re wolves. It’s still in first draft form, but… I like it. =) Thanks!

Annabelle replied to the topic How do you draft/write the "first" document? in the forum General Writing Discussions 4 years, 5 months ago
I’m a pantser… I cannot plot a book. It just doesn’t work.
So when I begin, basically all I have is a basic idea of what I want to write about, and possibly a vague idea of how the story will end. Then I just write and see how it turns out! xD
I’m not very good at plotting, as you can see.
I think pantsing is totally fine,…[Read more]

@koshka Wow! You said they were wolves, or wolf-people? That’s a cool scene!

I think it ate my thingy. Maybe I made it long. I shall try again.
Its a full scene, not a line, but anyway…
Flickers of light glinted back, caught on gossamers in the murky darkness. Holding the torch as high as the cavern roof allowed, Meyani crept down stairs, counting each crumbling step. Two-and-ten, three-and-ten, four-and-ten…
A heap o…[Read more]
