The Ducktator

Mindgul sounds like a creature from LoTR. XD

We had sweet potato and pear casserole, cranberry-barbeque meatballs, and FRUITCAKE. Haters just haven’t had good fruitcake. XD

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@savannah_grace2009

Now I’m up crying instead of going to bed…yes I can relate to some of this and I wish I couldn’t…death sucks.

I don’t need to cover everyone’s life. 30+ POV characters, each with their own arc, is ridiculous.

I’ll reply tomorrow. Sorry it’s taking so long. All my spare time has been spent making granola this week.

Historically, Advent is not about waiting for Christmas. It’s about waiting and preparing for Christ’s second coming, and it is a penitential season similar to Lent, for when He returns, he will not be a meek and mild baby in a manger, but a King coming to judge the earth. My dad says if you do Advent right,…[Read more]

So, I’m pretty much done with this cold, but now there is a stomach bug in the house. (I haven’t caught it yet thankfully) It’s DECEMBER and we haven’t spent a single month with no illnesses all year. I lost track of the number of illnesses we’ve had at around 7 or 8 in July, and I’ve had at least 3 since then, and there have been others I’ve…[Read more]

Everyone else: Authors aren’t really like that last meme.

Thank you. The performance went okay. I remembered all the choreography, but I didn’t perform as well as I could have, which is about as good as I could have hoped for feeling like this. I feel a little better now and I’m hoping the cold will be gone soon. The dizziness usually lingers annoyingly long.

@esther-c

I wish I’d thought of that when my grandma was in the hospital, but it was summer, so we were all barefoot anyway. My siblings and I were riding the elevators up and down. They were the fun kind where you could see out of the window.

@ellette-giselle

XD This is what I get for trying to post when sick… @rae the message several above was for you.

So I feel absolutely awful, it’s 4am over here, I can’t sleep in because of church, and I have a performance right after church. So if anyone sees this, prayers for the performance would be appreciated, especially as this cold has settled in my ears, which really messes up my balance.

@rae

I liked the civil disobedience debate…

@ellette-giselle

It’s hard for me to answer this because it kind of was a slap, but it also feels like the right way to end it. It made sense and concluded his arc. Like Whaley said, we were never promised he would live nor did his arc hinge on it. I’d file this under “books whose endings I will complain angrily about to my siblings but still…[Read more]
