@catwing Oh, I wish I hadn’t missed you! 🙁
@seekjustice @jenwriter17 @dekreel @valtmy Anyone here? I’m writing now.

@jenwriter17 I’m so sorry! I keep forgetting about this, because when I’m on KP I really only check Writers’ Corner (the only really live topic left). 🙁
Going back and reading through your poem I can’t find the places that I thought were jerky before. However, I think the difference could be that I read it aloud this time, rather than in my h…[Read more]

@catwing Oh! I guess you tagged me for your own prayer request.
I’ll be praying for you!

@catwing Uh, thanks…but I don’t recall putting out any prayer requests? Did you tag me by accident?

@seekjustice Proof that I’m sleepy: I had the word “executioner” all ready to write in the previous post, but I couldn’t think of the word “execute” to go along with it, so I sat with my eyes closed for several minutes trying to think of the synonym for “put to death” even though all I had to do was remember the different form of the word “executioner”.

The Mikado is the one where flirting is made a capital offense but no one can be executed because the executioner himself is next in line to be executed, and he refuses to execute himself.
I’m sleepy, so goodnight. 🙂

@seekjustice Well, as expected, I got only 159 words in. However, it does count as something. 🙂 Thanks for warring with me! I’ll look forward to doing some more in the future, and getting back up to speed where I can almost keep up with you. 😛
@valtmy Ok. Let me know when you do get a chance. I’d love to hear your opinion on it. ;)…[Read more]

@seekjustice 😀 😀 I will fail miserably, but I’d love to try anyhow. I usually find word wars help me through rough places, since I don’t think about how hard it is to write, but simply write. 😉
Unfortunately, I’m tired, so can we do a short, five minute war?
(And hooray for the Comic History of Britain! 😉 )
@valtmy Have you had a chance t…[Read more]

@dekreel It’s been amazing knowing you, friend-who-is-not-a-wolf! 😉 (See how nice I’m being? I didn’t call you a wolf. Aren’t you happy with me? 😛 I must admit that your tail is quite free of hair, unlike a wolf’s, but you must admit that your old profile picture didn’t include a tail, so you can see where the confusion began.)
I’m glad you s…[Read more]

@valtmy 🙂
@seekjustice And who, may I ask, was that man?
Our Johnny Appleseed wore a tin hat. It’s usually depicted as a pot or frying pan, but apparently it was just a tin hat which he ate out of.
We also tell of a giant with a blue ox…but unfortunately he isn’t real. 😉

Yes, you mustn’t think our history is anything but dignified. Ignore the fact that a crowd of Boston men dressed up in rags and painted their faces with “Indian war paint” so they could dump a lot of tea in Boston Harbor. Yup, we’re very dignified.

@seekjustice I wish the Gutenberg copy included the original illustrations instead of just mentions of them. I’m sure they’re quite hilarious. Maybe I should get a hard copy sometime.
I’d advise you not to read the Comic History of America until you know a little more about our history… 😛 Just like with his history of England, there are a…[Read more]

I’m at a stage in life where I have no motivation to do anything. Work, chores, even common-sense actions like brushing my teeth. Please pray that I snap out of it and that I rely on God for self-confidence and diligence.

@seekjustice Yes, it’s on Gutenberg. Should be pretty easy to find with a quick search of his name.

@seekjustice Here are a couple of quotes from it.
Bill Nye, Comic History of England quotes:
“The Druids largely lived in the woods in summer and in debt during the winter. they worshiped almost everything that had been left out overnight, and their motto was ‘never do anything unless you feel like it very much indeed.'”
“Many a Saxon would…[Read more]

@seekjustice I was going through old notes and found a reference to something I thought you might be interested in. Have you ever heard of Bill Nye’s Comic History of Britain? (Not Bill Nye “the science guy” this is from 1906)
