That sounds like fun! I’ve been wanting to get the castle going again too, but same problem…
Only, I’d like to leave Annia and Cecilia out cause…I don’t really want to RP for them right now.

Ah, Charrie names! I love character name meanings!
Heir of Ashes
Viktor – Champion or conquerer (latin root, Russian derivative)
Alyona – bright light or torch bearer (Greek root, Russian derivative)
Nadían – uh… I kinda made this one up, although it apparently is a Hebrew name meaning “pond”. However, in the language of my bo…[Read more]

Wow.
The characters, the setting, everything in this story makes what’s going on so real. Puts the people you just hear about right in front of you. Dziękuję Ci. Спасибо, мой друг.

*gasp*
We needed this forum. XD
I shall try not to post too many…I spend way too much time on this.
Zlatan: Russian, meaning Golden, or. Golden one.
Vulkasin: Old Russian/Slavic, meaning Son of the wolf, or Wolf son.
Daithí: Irish, meaning Swift, nimble, light-footed.

MAYBE BECAUSE I SAID THE THIRD MIGHT END TRAGICALLY? O.O
However, I’ve been thinking about it, and their chances of getting married have grown exponentially.
It just depends on a certain spoiler….
But don’t worry, there’s hope, and considering that Reúven is one of my favorite characters, a pretty strong hope at that.

Wellllllllll…..
She wouldn’t marry anyone else.
Awww, November is adorable.
Actually, they met when they were 4-5 too, but Reúven didn’t like her! They were “enemies”. XD
She was the granddaughter of an old shepherd in the mountains that opened his house to Micha, and she was jealous of her Grandfather’s attention.…[Read more]

Novella is the bestest. (I mean, others have done virtuously, but thou excelest them all)
And that was out of context. XD Anyway….
Yeah, stuff has changed, and I think it’s for the better.
Fun fact: Reúven’s been planning to marry her since he was twelve. Of course, he hasn’t actually told anyone this, but… His author…[Read more]

That’s awesome! How are you publishing?
Yes, of course you can ask. =) I’m currently working on a trilogy, with MCs being wolves (1st book), foxes (2nd book), and small wild cats (3rd book). The world is slightly complicated, divided up between tribes, kingdoms, and even a democracy in the last book. The first two are medieval, with…[Read more]

@godlyfantasy12 @ally’all
Oh! I do actually have three romantic subplots. One, you know about, one is a spoiler, and one may or may not end tragically. (But I think you know about that last one)
Anyway, I love making sweet, natural romances. My first was, of course, Alwin and Winifrith.
They sorta meet in the second book, but neither really…[Read more]

So I was randomly looking at old posts, and AHH!!! Another animal writer!
Great job showing the emotion! I must admit that as much as I like the end, I want more of these characters, a lot more. But that’s what short stories do; they give one taste of an amazing world, then leave you satisfied but hoping for more.
Anyway, good to see…[Read more]

(Oops, I intended to respond earlier, but…)
Ara and November are great together, from what I’ve read of the first draft scenes you posted. (November’s father makes my blood boil, but that’s beside the point)
I don’t exactly have any romance plots in my book yet, but I do know which characters get married (if that makes sense).…[Read more]

Do you get this thrill when you hear/see the language your learning? It makes me so excited. 😊
Oh yes! (My twin loves doing it to me, whether by pointing out something in Crylic, or nonchalantly handing me something that has it) I get so happy…I’m literally smiling just thinking about it. It’s like getting a secret message that only I…[Read more]

Koshka replied to the topic I need a creature name! in the forum Fantasy 1 year, 11 months ago
Ah…I don’t know? For creature name I guess I usually just start with a letter, say it out loud, and see what sound comes next.
For place and group names I tend to look up words in the language of that culture and, then if there is more than one word, mash them together till I like the sound. So basically what you do.
Volkovia…[Read more]

A cross between…okay, that’s an interesting mental picture. XD
What is their habit/home? Do they have tails (you mentioned squirrels)? Are they more like people or animals? How many syllables or words do you want?
A few random ideas (and if any of these are already used it was accidental): Quirgles, Akturns, Miklins, Thindles,…[Read more]

I am using Save the Cat, and yes. I am a plotter. Most of my ideas come at night too! Maybe that’s just how they work. *Shrug*
I’ll probably try that and at least see where it takes me. Hopefully it’ll get me writing again, instead of ignoring the utter chaos of my characters’ lives. Thanks for the advice!

Well, his problem right now is basically that I don’t know what happens in his climax. Or much of the rest of his story. I mean, I know scenes and some plot points, but the beats after the mid point are all sort of…foggy.
I’ve been working a bit on him, which is why I even have a midpoint, but even so I can’t seem to get the…[Read more]

I’m on! I also need to do dishes, but I’ll be checking in a bunch.
Vulkasin…he wouldn’t tell me his story. Maybe that’s my fault for not working with him much, but it just wouldn’t come out. I’m making a little progress right now, so hopefully he’ll get on paper easier soon.
But yeah. He’s been a problem.

Ах! Сестра, you don’t know how happy you made me, seeing Cyrillic in a conversation. Or rather you probably do, you being a language learner yourself… *Happy sigh*
I think practically any writing takes some form of research.
