🙂
Currently my sister and I are trying to come up with plot twists for the second book. Have any ideas?
(My sister reckons you’ll all say “that Justice died instead of Zac” because “you’re all selfish people who love Zac and underappreciate Justice!”)
I’m pretty sure she’s joking.

All right, all right! I give up. It just baffles me that everyone likes the characters I don’t like all that much and no one likes as much the ones that I adore. 😀
@catwing Well, hopefully we aren’t spoiling too much for you 🙂

Okay 😀
Well, I didn’t necessarily write him to be likeable, but then again I didn’t write Zac to be likeable either and obviously he turned out like that.
I don’t know how I want people to feel about Kendall though. I mean…he has a rather immoral lifestyle…
But his case isn’t hopeless. He redeems himself.
😀 I can see that…[Read more]

Was it only the instance you mentioned that you thought was too out of character for Justice?
The problem I found with Kendall and Rain is that honestly who would have a crush on Kendall? No one is supposed to like Kendall!
No, I didn’t know! I must go find out!

Well, it hurts my pride, my honestly my pride is rather…I don’t know…large. And I could do with some humility. That’s why God made me a writer 😛
Fair enough. That makes sense. Honestly, I think the uniqueness of my story lies not so much in the plot, because the plot is…well, fairly average, but more so in the characters.…[Read more]

So I’ve been agonising over your post for w ay longer than is normal and I’ve come to this conclusion:
Writing retellings are a balancing act between original content and not. For example, I think the changes I made with Caderousse (have you started P4 yet?) were good because someone would expect that of a story based on Les…[Read more]

Hopefully!
I do quite like parodies if they’re done right 🙂
I didn’t change that much, did I?

Well, I have the 1955 version in the house currently, so I’ll watch that first but I know our library has the 1999 version so I might watch that one later.
Yep its definitely a classic one. I’m a bit of a Sherlock Holmes nerd 😉
Well, yes, I am overly obsessed with Les Mis and have listened to so many different versions and I have…[Read more]

Ah, that’s unfortunate. My family tends to stick the rain out and make us all miserable 😛
I’m not sure how many I’ve seen, I’d have to count. By the way, do you like the 19something version of Oklahoma or the Hugh Jackman version best?
I guess so, she just struck me as really naïve and not at all smart.
She’s in her forties, but…[Read more]

Sorry I keep missing you! I was at church this morning you see 😀
Welcome back! Does your family go camping much?
Yeah, I didn’t like that, and it’s generally not my style (Oh, I love Brigadoon! Its pretty much the only exception to the old musical dislike. And I don’t mind Mary Poppins. But other than that…)
I did…[Read more]

I do not know how to fake someone’s death. I have never done it before
😛
Never. Not even to Zac.

It was better than Liliom, definitely. I’m not sure I could say that I liked it though. The more of these old musicals I watch the more I’m sure I’ll never find one that I love 🙂
I think though, my main problem was that the ending made me really uncomfortable, especially the part where Louise and Julie talk about being hit and never feeling a…[Read more]

True. I’ve been learning imperial measurement in math lately and it drives me crazy.
Ah, I see. Usually, we’d say “so and so is five foot nine,” we usually leave off the inches, but still say the feet.

Numbers are the bane of my life.
You don’t appreciate ten because all your measurements are so random and weird and all over the place. In metric measures, everything is in ten–10 millimetres in a centimetre, 100 centimetres in a metre, 1000 metres in a kilometre. Its very easy to remember 😀
Five foot fourteen 😛

This is where the problem is, my friend. We use imperial measurements for heights because its sounds cooler to say “I’m 5ft 5in”, rather than “I’m 170cm tall”. However, I forgot that a foot is twelve inches, not ten. So while Justice is 5’9”, and Zac is 6’1″ that’s actually a difference much larger than two. 😛
But its not my fault…[Read more]

Oh yes, I use okeydokey a lot. In fact, I thought it must have been an Australian thing. Seems not. 😀
Okaydokey, that’s fine 😀 I’m happy either way. You can read it even if you don’t want to beta read.
