@seekjustice Yeah, I lot of stuff has changed since I started coming by off and on.
These days the only stuff I write about is Aetherlight-related. I wish I had the inspiration to write something unique and original, not relying on someone else’s setting and stuff. I guess I’m insecure. I’m not sure. And I know I have the ability and “brain-power,” so to speak, to think up settings and characters of my own, but for some reason it just doesn’t work. I feel unmotivated to write something unless it’s about something I love, like Dr Who or The Aetherlight or Kingdom Pen (hence, the fanfic, roleplays and KPA respectively). But I want to be able to develop and write my own stuff, too! It’s so frustrating.
Sorry about that. I just felt like pouring it out. 🙂

Maybe you shouldn’t be talking to the person who only writes retellings about this sort of stuff 😛
Seriously though, it’s completely okay if you only write fanfiction! I don’t think God’s ability to work through your stories is hindered at all by the fact that the settings/characters/whatever else, weren’t created by you. He’s perfectly capable of using anything at all!
Having said that though, I’ve read some of your writing and I know that you’re an amazing writer. Maybe you just need to pray that God gives you the strength and courage to step out of your comfort zone and do what he’s telling you to do? If He truly wants you to do it, He’ll provide you with everything you need. He’s good like that 😛
