@seekjustice One of my favorite books several years ago was about the newsboy riots, so the story is very interesting to me. As for the music, I like it okay. I liked the music from Phantom much better. The New York accents are hilarious in that most of them are pretty badly done…as I’m sure you say about the fake Scottish accents of Brigadoon…[Read more]

@seekjustice Hey there! You caught me in the middle of a Newsies clip! 😀
I can probably be on for a half hour or so, but then I’ve got to go to bed.
Now for the musicals: You must have heard of Oliver!, since it’s based on Charles Dickens’ (who you said you like) novel Oliver Twist. Or have you not? How about The Student Prince? In that…[Read more]

I had an idea for a story a while ago, but I never wrote it because I was working on too many other things – and still am. So I’ll set the idea out there and hope one of you likes it/tries it out.
So, the MC is an assassin hired to kill people who become too threatening to the people in power. Kind of got the idea from the “Kennedy Curse” and s…[Read more]

@catwing because it’s really cool that you’re the only person here (besides Josiah) that I have met in real life. 😀
@seekjustice again for all the crazy musical tossing we’ve been doing lately.
@supermonkey42 as a thanks for putting all the KP Lit. on an easily accessible website!
Is that enough tags for right now? I can think of a few more…

@that_writer_girl_99 Okay, I’m going to go now. I got a little bit done, but I’m not sure I’m satisfied with it. 🙁 Happy writing to you!
@seekjustice Let me know when you get back, as usual! 🙂 (And, just in case you were wondering, I’ve got *checks list* FOUR more musicals for you. 😀 ) And I’ve been listening to Newsies.

@ashyvye Thank you. [It is a picture of a cat with wings. Not a dragon]
“The sun turned into the moon, and the moon crashed to earth, and we then realized that it was a dragon’s egg; that was the beginning of the dragon age.”
*bows* *throws feathers*
And I will tag @seekjustice

I read the fourth chapter of Esther….
I think it was really sweet how much concern Esther showed for Mordecai when he was wearing the sackcloth and mourning about what was going to happen to her people. She sent him clothes so he didn’t have to wear the…[Read more]

@seekjustice Right. Whatever your own accent is, it’s not an accent. I love the song “Why Can’t the English” from My Fair Lady for that reason. The singer complains that no one speaks English correctly, and that “In America, they haven’t spoken it for years!” 😀
I have one CD of Scottish music which I like a lot, but mostly I just have the sh…[Read more]

@seekjustice Yeah, me neither really. I’d like to sing on stage a few times, but mostly I’m planning to be a mother. 🙂
No accent at all…except an Australian one, of course! 😀
I like Scottish songs such as Land o’ the Leal, Jock o’ Hazeldean, Carls o’ Dysart, and Loch Lomond.
Irish American songs: Danny Boy, (That one’s AMAZING,) T…[Read more]

@seekjustice Hahaha! 😀
Yes, it was definitely a lot of fun. I hope to do it again sometime. 🙂 I actually sing much more often than I dance, though.
Do you ever sing Scottish songs? Or songs with other accents? I love singing both Scottish and Irish songs, though that includes Irish-American songs which are technically not Irish, but stil…[Read more]

@seekjustice I don’t really use other languages much, but I do randomly insert lines of songs into conversations all the time.
The only ballet I’ve been in was The Nutcracker, which we used to do every Christmas season as a family. We’d convert a room into a stage with curtains along the walls and seats along one side (just enough for five to t…[Read more]

@seekjustice I like to think my acting is pretty good, but then, how would I know? I haven’t been in a real play since I was four years old! I act in front of the mirror all the time, while singing. 😀
Sword dancing is really cool! I think I like Russian dancing best, of all the types of folk dancing, but Scottish might be after that.

@seekjustice *looks up Goodman Theatre version* Oh, wow! It is amazing. It’s been a while since I looked up Brigadoon, so I’ve also been listening to the soundtrack ever since recommending it to you. Robert Goulet did a tv version in the sixties. 🙂 I found that a while ago and have it on my to-watch list but haven’t seen the full thing yet.…[Read more]

@skredder Okay, that makes sense. 🙂 Thanks for the info! I hadn’t heard about the different kinds of cows, but my mom’s always wondered if we’d be less allergic to non-processed milk. We’ve never been able to try it out, though, since our schedule isn’t regular enough for us to own any milking animals. 🙁

@rochellaine @seekjustice Well, at this point, I have distracted myself reading blogs and The Aetherlight forums. And I’ve hit a brick wall on the KPA, so I think I’ll take a break for tonight.
See you later! Nice talking/arguing/bickering/whatever we were doing…! 😀
