I’m probably too strict about the age for characters a little too much, and thinking on it, if you’re writing Christian fiction it’s way less of a problem than writing for the secular audience. Present tense first person is definitely special, haha. I 100% get it why a bunch of people would dislike it. But it can work really well in the story it’s in cause I don’t even notice it anymore once I’m past the first page now.
