(So that was severely depressing. I was too committed to finishing my post last night, that I ended up typing it up until 2 in the morning, but I didn’t back it up, and it got deleted when I tried posting it😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. *Note to self: go to sleep*)

    (Ok, from the beginning again)

(I’ve listened to the first…[Read more]

    @mineralizedwritings

Yeah, I can picture that XD Even when our elderly people are told to go first, every boy makes a beeline for the spot behind the first patriarch…

What do you mean by degree of competence? Is not all of history a game where we must incorporate the fact that things have bias? Is prediction just a guess? Is it not good to read things that we don’t agree with to escape the danger of bubble communities?

??? Did anything I said contradict any of those questions? Are you j…[Read more]

(No distinction. He knows everything everything. The whole idea around this is basically that if you knew everything about one point (and had the knowledge to use this knowledge by knowing how everything works) then you could know everything. Also that is not achievable by humans. In a semi-paradoxial way this would allow…

(On top of that, the animals on the ark were most likely young- even the dinosaurs on the ark could have been fairly small.)

Does not the God say in the Bible, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds“?

(And besides that, there’s still no fossil evidence for a change in kind. There’s no ‘missing link’ in between two different species, and there’s no living example of evolution, either. Humans, clearly, have not…[Read more]

    Wait… that’s Stalin?

My AP euro teacher showed him to our class and one of the girls was like “he actually looks kind of hot”.

(Yeah! The deep discussions about life the universe and everything are the best kind!)

Ok. First. I shall now declare the neutrality of me within your question answer war. I enjoy questions but I also enjoy posing them in the form of statements and have an enjoyment of posing questions in desire of specific response. I…

Were there not only two of each animal? And if, as I would think, animals weren’t split into so many different variations yet, wouldn’t that aid the explanation? For instance, wouldn’t there be just one or two main species of cats, and they became more diverse (not evolutionarily, there’s a difference) over time? Was the…[Read more]

  • Ok guys. My villain needs some help. Or rather, I, as his author, need some help. I need to decide on his evil title and part of his motivation.

First, some background on him: (Warning: There are a few spoilers. Read at your own risk.) (Another WarningI do mention murder a few times.)

Derek Len desired peace. It was all he wanted. All he…[Read more]

  • Ok guys! I made this topic because I have a little problem that could use some discussion:

My oc Layson leaves at the end of book 1. I want the readers to be like nooooooo XD

I need him to be meaningful to the other characters in order to make this work. So here’s a little backround if that helps:

Worked in the same mining shift as my…[Read more]

  • I had this fun idea this morning. On this thread, you can post a list of songs that seem to fit your WIP – but don’t tell us what the WIP is. It’s a guessing game. Everyone else has to guess why you chose that song, and what it has to do with your story. You could use well-known songs, like from Disney or old classics, or something new. Just as…[Read more]

Thanks for setting up the forum!

I’ve already talked a lot about the current nature of my universe on the spiritual side. So while I’ll continue working on that more and mention it here, I’ll likely post more about the different religions in my world that are in varying proximity to the truth.

  • @kathleenramm

I’ve noticed that there are lots of writers on here who worldbuild. We’ve discussed worldbuilding things a lot, but it’s always been under “General Writing Discussions.” I think it would be helpful if we had a topic for worldbuilding. 🙂

    Let’s see here… KP’s world builders…
