Yeah that’s how I’ve usually done it in RPs, I think it makes sense for the characters to arrive at different spots and then find each other as the RP goes

The issue I would say about using all 29 would be the same debate of how many digits there are in a number system. More digits means more compact information, but it also means more informational storage is needed (you need to remember it all).

That’s a tough one. It’s hard because sometimes ideas seem to come naturally, but when you try to get knew ideas, that’s when they stop. I’ve faced similar struggles in the past. So this is a good thing to be aware of when writing your story. Your definitely right that you want to have your setting more tied into the plot.
