Kids breaking rules is basically standard in all books where kids go to fantasy schools.

Also It is a pretty standard topic in ya fiction (although at its worst kotlc is on the very low end of the YA maturity scale (I hardly classify it ya and neither does my local library)

I can agree. It does steal concepts from a lot of other stories. Also most of the school stuff is taken from Harry Potter.

Naming characters is hard I totally get the thing where you don’t want to actually show your sibling the name of something you came up with because they might not like it that’s happened to me before as well.

Oh also I would recommend checking out Weird Al Yankovic he basically just makes parodies of stuff but especially I would check out his white and nerdy song if you consider yourself a nerdy person you will most likely get a kick out of it

That makes sense the only reason I found them was because I was listening to I see Fire on youtube and left the autoplay on and It started playing one of them.
