And yeah, I figured she was probably a big fan of his work. To be honest, I’m not hating on the author and all the work she’s done. She’s gotten published. I haven’t. That’s an enormous achievement, and if she’s done it she deserves a bit of slack. It’s just the content itself that I didn’t like.
You can totally love it! I mean,…[Read more]

Okay yeah, it makes sense you haven’t noticed those things because you haven’t read HP or LotR. That’s understandable.
I’m not sure how the LotR elves’ abilities are categorized – they have strong connections with ancient peoples and powers, speak pretty much all languages, and…well, from being immortal, are probably…[Read more]

Thanks for agreeing with me, and yes, I forgot the Harry Potter parallels, but it’s true. The flaver-coded lockers and the candy with the collectible pins really got on my nerves. Not because it wasn’t interesting, it was just that I’ve seen it before in Hogwarts.
Yeah. It’s just that Messenger’s elves can’t even compare…[Read more]

Okay, I saw the Wingfeather strand and thought I’d make my own XD I’ve never understood why KotLC was so popular with people. I feel like Messenger just cut and pasted the elf concept from LotR – vegetarianism and all. Please, fight me. Also beware, I love fighting back.
@godlyfantasy12 and I think @keilah-h are fans, right?

Kinda late here, but when I first read the books, I pictured the Ninjago snake heads too XD Looks like I had company.

Wow, at this point in my life, I am literally dreaming up whole stories. Like, remembering plot points and certain phrases and everything. Last night I dreamed up a romance between a girl and a fairy king with the most enormous moustache…

Pff, you are not a party pooper ❤ Talking about romantic subplots is basically the same subject – only less chaotic. We can easily return to the rules and have the same amount of fun.
Ah, yes, life is our research.

Okay, good. That’s what I thought, but a second opinion is always important. Thank you!

And the best part is, we can analyse these boy’s actions and romantic gestures, recording them ever faithfully to use for literary purposes…
Because we’re writers…
No other reason…

Thank you!! I wasn’t certain if I’d still have fondness for the characters, or if I’d want to burn the whole thing with endless fire 😅 I must say, it has been tough paving my way through the previously terrible world-building, and a few characters have indeed bitten the dust.
Silent moment for the left-behind charries 😔

*Pats Paxton’s head, further blushifying him*
…Xavi’s cool… Oh, Knox is my dog’s name 😂 It could work, though. And Liam is nice and simple. It’s softer and lighter, but still firm.
Oh wow, I thought you’d know about Russian names. Do they change depending on the context, like Latin names?

XD Okay, okay, here’s a writing question.
I have a child character (at thirteen years), Christopher, who completely falls for a girl while at camp (yes, camp 😂) with his family. Clara’s about the only other kid he’ll hang out with other than his brother. His parents don’t mind, because they are friends with Clara’s parents and know both kids a…[Read more]

Hey y’all! So, I’m fixing up my very first story idea, because my tween past self would love that ❤ The hero’s a young boy, thirteen to fourteen years old, with green eyes and white hair, mixed with these orange-gold feathers. His clothing color scheme is deep rose, purple and mustard (all the rich colors). Personality-wise, he is kind of…[Read more]

You’re lucky. I had no idea I was so stunning.
XD But anyway, I’ve had guys tell me they like me, and I barely even know them. Being a big-time introvert, it isn’t easy to handle. As for having my own crush, sadly, no such thorn of love has stung me.

I’m here!
*Glances at all the giggly girl chaos*
*Sips tea*
To be honest, when it comes to romance I have a bigger problem with boys crushing on me than vice versa. I mean, have you ever had to shake a dove-eyed teen off your tail in a crowd of campers?

Enid replied to the topic Character Name Meanings in the forum Characters 3 years, 8 months ago
Aauurrgh I love finding character names. The only problem is, I also pick names for their colors, but a lot of people don’t have synesthesia.
Sebastian – From Sebastia, or venerable. Which is hilarious considering his personality. Totally not a venerable kid.
Alfonso – Soldier, noble and ready
Sadie – Princess
Christopher – I don’t think I eve…[Read more]
