I’d love to read over it! I’ll try to write up a comment on it before the weekend! And like Jodi said, what exactly are you looking for critique on? Totally ok to literally just want any comments that come to our minds, but if you wanted historical accuracy, or more specific stuff, lemme know so I can read through with that in mind.…[Read more]

Hey there! I’d love to read your first three chapters! It’s super brave of you to put your writing out there.
If you don’t mind my asking, is there anything specific that you’re looking for feedback on? Or are you trying to get a general impression of reader interest?
Anyway, I’m super excited to read your chapters!

First of all, I think that’s so brave of you to be posting your first three chapters!! 🙂 I know it can be scary to let other people see your work, and it’s totally normal to feel nervous about this (I know I did), but I would LOVE to read through your chapters!! I can already tell you’re such a talented writer. 😉 And I love fantasy…[Read more]

Yeah, I get what you mean. Almost anything can be easier or harder depending on the situation.
Have you ever based characters on other people in your life?

Typos:
Night had decended upon the land, tucking her starry blanket over the sky and misting the fragrant, fresh scent of flowers and wild grass into the air.
Kathleen lay on the thick prairie grass, her bonnet temporarily discarded by her side as she stared up into the gentle folds of midnight sky. Her shoulders burned terribly from hours spent…

@nanisnook Honestly, I’m in the same boat right now lol. I always come to a point in my novels (usually about 6/8 of the way in) where I feel like everything I did is trash and I wasted 4/whatever years of my life on a dumb novel that no one will ever like or read. But you know what I tell myself? It’s my dumb novel, those are characters I love,…[Read more]

@nanisnook Good question! (Thanks for the tag! <3) Honestly, I probably need to do the whole “jump ahead” thing because I’ve been stuck on a scene for a month and haven’t written a word :))))) Sadly, I don’t, so I just procrastinate actually being productive and figuring out what I’m going to do lolll

Hi there!! @nanisnook
When I’m stuck on a scene, I’ll usually brainstorm out the problem. If something feels off or I’m really not getting into the scene, it really helps to dig down to the root of the issue before continuing. If I try to write through something like that, the problem will often show through my writing.
Jumping ahead can be the…[Read more]

Nice to meet you too!
Favs… LOTR: Gandalf, Hunger Games: Johanna, and Star Wars: Darth Vader… or maybe R2?
The first time I remember writing a story was when I was… idk, 6? To be clear tho, my writing habits were extremely sporadic until I turned 13 a few years ago. I don’t know if I even could…[Read more]
