Hahaha! I already love Felicity! 😉
He totally sounds like you described him. If I had to go on an adventure now, I’d want him to be the leader! 😉
Can I hang out with Catherine for a day, please? Just a day? XD
Hahaha! Poor Horace. *cough* dumb teenagers *cough* 🙂

The title says it all, folks. I just thought it might be fun to compare what your character says to see if the dialogue truly matches their personality or not.
So I’ll share mine first!
MC is Dylan, who is stubborn, quiet, and strong-willed. A little self-protective. Lmk if his dialogue fits his personality.

ella replied to the topic Overcoming Writer's Burnout : in the forum General Writing Discussions 3 years, 3 months ago
This is ALL too relatable, Lexi! The way I usually (try) to overcome writer’s block/burnout is picking up a different project. I have *counts Scrivener docs* 25 WIPs from the last 2 yrs. Not that they’re perfect. (Or finished.)
This way really helps me to take a step back and pick a project that I’ve been developing pre…[Read more]

Hey! Nice to meet you! It’s Awesome to have you here in the Kingdom!
How long have you been writing?
Also, congrats on writing you first full length novel! The first one is definitely the hardest. ( At least from my experience).
As for tips on the forum, every week on Friday the forum moderator ( aka me) asks a writing related q…[Read more]

That story is actually amazing. The creativity is unmatched.
Who else write a story where the population is turning into vegetables?
Now I’m curious about how all these characters fit together in one story.
Also, chocolate covered raisins are underrated.
I actually laughed out loud reading…[Read more]

Hey guys! Before I tell you my problemo, I’ll fill you in on the story first. Here’s They Came At Night’s synopsis:
24 miles off the Island of Camino, a commercial airline goes down in the Pacific. Only one passenger survives.
Dylan, an orphan-turned-foster child, was living with his uncle when he got the chance of a lifetime: travel to the i… -

Hey Mary! (Btw, before I forget, it looks like your website link on your forum signature is cut off… maybe shorten it? I think it’s limited to 80 or so characters…? Just letting you know, I do that all the time!)
Thanks! I’m trying to decide on a title right now. Do you like Camino or They Came at Night better? I kinda like…[Read more]

Great topic, I love it! 🤣
Well, my weirdest story was probably my first one. *epic music plays in the background* The Teres of the Man. Â
Complete with illustrations!! Oh yeah! XD It was about a horse named Wanna (not Wanda, Wanna), an anteater named Carrie, and a frog named Joe. And the villain was (to quote straight from t…[Read more]

All of the above sounds great actually! I’d love to know more about any hobbies of yours. Posts about how you work your way out of writing ruts/plot holes/lack of inspiration are always helpful to me. Also you could write about things you have opinions on, like writing with/without music, movies and books you like, that kind of thing 🙂

What’s the weirdest story you’ve ever wrote?
Probably the weirdest story I’ve every wrote was a short story I wrote as an assignment I did for a writing class. It was about a boy who was a glassblower, and he had a magical ability to blow molten into anything he wanted, not just glass objects.
But since he didn’t want the village folk to think…[Read more]
