Thank you! Yep! Ah, cool! I’ve never seen The Last Airbender. I should give it a try. 😉 Um, I guess, lol. I’m not sure but it sounds like it. XD Ooh, that’s cool! I bet it was fun!
So, the powers are hereditary. And because there is a lot of prejudice and hate between each country, families have stayed in the same country for generations. They don’t leave their country, and they don’t marry outside of it. Am I making any sense, lol?

Fall in love with JesusGirl, I love that the magic in your story comes from God. That’s how I’m doing it in my story as well. 😀 It’s almost as if exploring the question, “What if God created the world to work and be like this?” Anyway, I love how you’re doing it in your story world and magic system!
Wow, that’s so cool that you have a fantasy Queen Esther retelling!! I love that idea!

Fall in love with Jesus@thearcaneaxiom Cool forum topic!
Your magic system sounds so cool!!! 😀 I love that it has a chemistry base//chemistry inspiration!
For my current fantasy novel, the magic system is kind of like “powers.” I guess a better way of putting that is that the characters have magical abilities. Depending on what country they’re from determines what kind of magic and abilities they have. So, for example, in one country, they have nature-related powers. (Think Elsa’s ice powers in Frozen.) Then in another country, their powers pertain to anything metal-related.

Fall in love with Jesus@joy-caroline Yes, definitely! My opening chapters often feel flat. I write things that happen to the characters and that I think are important, only to figure out later that it wasn’t really important or added anything to the overall story. Sometimes my opening chapters drag on, and I decide that I need to move into the plot quicker or make the character more interesting to pull the reader through. Is there a way you can establish what you need while making what’s going on more interesting in the story? Maybe something you can ask yourself is “Is what I’m giving/presenting to the reader really important to the plot?” Or “Do they really care to know this information?” If it’s things you feel like you need to establish, are there places where you can combine it with more interesting scenes?
These are just some thoughts. I don’t know if it’s helpful, but I hope you’ll be able to figure out what you need to do with your story and how to make it better!<33

Fall in love with Jesus@godlyfantasy12 Whoa, I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! 😀 It was enjoyable to read, and I LOVE the rhyme you had going on!!!!! FANTASTIC poem, girl!!!!!! 😀
My only suggestion is that it seemed like there needed to be a period between “dreams” and “Pitch” in this part –> “shattered dreams, Pitch black“.
