What are the main characteristics in Alpha that you want to keep?
Personality is a result of purpose. We have a purpose for every character in a story, whether big or small.
Alpha’s purpose is shown through his theme, his drive in life, his passion, or his response to something that changed his perspective forever. What is Alpha’s pur…[Read more]

Sure!! 😊 Scenes and motives are great!
You’re good! Dylan’s family situation reminds me of Rapunzel, not going to lie. Sounds like an interesting dynamic to play with.

I’m so sorry I’m just now responding! 😭 I was on vacation all week and the wifi was pretty terrible 😅
Okay so if it’s not too late I’ll add my charrie Dylan in.
Here’s Dylan’s description:
Appearance: He’s around 18/19 years old, he has dark hair, deep blue eyes, and tan skin.
**He runs his hand through his hair whenever he’s…[Read more]

Oh my goodness I never gave you that snippet from Adrian’s POV!!! Do you still want me to write one, or do you just want to go for it?? I’m not sure I included Ev or Adrian’s motivations in their descriptions, so that might make it easier. Whatever you wanna do.

I have not forgotten about Ellie&Seb. I am just going to wait a little longer for @godlyfantasy12 in hopes that a couple subplots are not buried :]

Do you want help pinning down his traits? I’ve just noticed you mention how hard it is to write Alpha quite often.

Ok I know some characters still haven’t been introduced, and I’m probably completely wrong, but my theory is that Everton will win because he found that four leaf clover.

Wait, all 23 of them will die? Isn’t that all of them?
I thought the point was to have a winner who takes all.

Crosshair’s gonna be pulled away from his brothers and sister all over again!! That’s gonna be sad. Unless you have him as part of the Empire at this point.
meanwhile, Mundy won’t care. He’ll probably be alone when he gets teleported….? There’s a squad he’s with, but they’d probably willingly ha…[Read more]

Oh, and I also like Jonas’ point about one-note motivations. It’s probably one of the hardest things to hide from the reader’s notice. I personally believe it is okay, even great, for a character to have one point to them. One deep-set motive. But if you never show that motive, and instead make up a few secondary motives that demonstrate how the…[Read more]

I agree with @jonas that I haven’t seen much of a difference between Nahim and Alpha, and maybe that’s why I have a hard time distinguishing between them. This is, of course, coming from someone who has only roleplayed with one of those characters and seen limited material based on the other… so that’s very likely a me problem. *shrug*
But I…[Read more]
