Here is the next chapter. Are you ready? Things are about to get darker.
Another thing. My school courses are finishing up so I have more time to write again! My goal is to get you the epilogue by the end of the year.

Emmie took the puppy from Alpha, cradling it in her arms as if it were a baby. “What do you want to name her?”
“You name it, I don’t care.” Alpha crossed his arms indignantly.
“Fine, if that’s your attitude about it, her name is Biscuit and the other one is Soldier.”
“Warrior, not Soldier,” Alpha objected.
“I thought you didn’t ca…

Rosemarie came to his side and Josef put his arm about his wife’s shoulders, gently kissing her forehead. “It’s good to see you.”
Ernst had left the room, but now he came running back, lugging his father’s suitcase behind him. “Where do you want this, Papa?”
“In my room,” Josef replied. “Danke Ernst!” he called as the boy darted from the r…

I’m glad you think it looks interesting. I love government plot books and write my fair share of them.
I’m so glad you like it!!!

I haven’t read any backstory snippets for Fel. 🤨
Nah you’re okay, I love teasing too. Take one more snowball, madam. 😜

I know at least one person hit me with snow, so I wrote this just to cover all my debts.

Ah, but what happened to Fel?

But I’m happy with that
And that’s exactly why some of my characters are just chill and happy. There’s nothing less deep about having an average backstory. I can think of some characters who are super shallow because the writer thought trauma equals character depth.

Okay, now it’s a challenge. Post what you wrote, and I can almost certainly top it.
Honestly, even writing down the bare facts of the backstory might be too graphic for people. It’s necessary because the end of the story is a reversal of the beginning, kind of like that flash fiction I posted a couple pages back.

That… Would be difficult. XD
Don’t know I I’m in the fast writers group, but for me, I’m not writing anything serious, just bits of stories that have been in my head for weeks. If this was my “actual” WIP it would take longer.

I caaan’t. All my Lovedream characters are severely traumatized and I’m not just talking ‘his parents died to typhoid’ or whatever.

“Be still, luv.” Her shepherd’s hands were soft from his many years tending sheep. He washed the cuts on her face with a gentleness that brought tears to her eyes.
“Aiche…”
“I know.” He looked away, jaw tight. Ellie swallowed.
“She made me.”

Oh gracious. I don’t even know what to write.
Bother.
Shadows drifted above the rafters. Daithí crouched among them, eyes and ears open on the room below.
Wolves. Hideous monsters. They sat around a splintered table with cups of tea and harsh laughter. Let them have their fun. Daithí muttered a curse. His mother would have boxed h…[Read more]
